Today I broke up with the girl who should have been mine for reasons beyond my control. All through it this song kept playing in my mind. I had never cared to listen to the song's lyrics, but now I had this urge to look at the lyrics.

'Babe I'm gonna leave you' has become true for my life I wonder about this one..

At least Led Zeppelin is a part I cant rip out from me!

It seems, like many others here, that I have strong emotional ties attached to this song. I just broke up with my girlfriend of 3+ years; I was foolish to think that it things would be easier as the initiator. As soon as I got home I had a strong urge to pick up my guitar and play this song. I then realized that I had never really listened to the lyrics. It's almost comical how perfect the first verse relates to my circumstances. Now I just hope that I don't fall prey to the rest of this song in the coming years...

This song along with the rain song was the songs I just to play with my ex boyfriend. Im really young, but after 3 years with him I did fell deeply in love. We loved each other, that I can assure. We had the greatest summer ever, it was the summer of 2009. We were so in love, so alike.
We broke up five months ago. Sometimes it feels like a long time ago, and some days it feels as It were just yesterday when I saw him leave my front door for the last time. He kissed me and said he never wanted it to be this way.
I tried to talk to him three days after, I was just trying to see If we could be together again, I didnt say it out loud, but my words were to obvious. He said that he just wanted to be alone.
We didnt spoke again until yesterday, it was he's birthday. I sent him an email wich he answered with a "thank you". He than said that led zeppelin was the band that always remind him of me...
I could say that I dont love him anymore, but I could never stop loving him in some way.

Sometimes I imagine that I will get to talk to him again in a future, maybe this song will be in a way our song.

Just by incredible bad luck, I was just listening to this song (JP/Black Crowes Greek album) tonight while reading an email from my separated wife of ten years marriage (We split on our 10th Anniversary). The email said she had a weekend fling with a guy from the internet because she was so lonely. I had to leave the country 2 months ago to try to forget her, which didn't help, I could not stop thinking "I didn't have to go".... now what? Heartbreaker.

Meaning of Ten Years Gone | Reviewer: Matt S | 10/21/10

Contrary to what everyone says about this song being about Plant's son... It is actually about an old girlfriend of his that made him choose between her or the band. This song was originally an instrumental written by Page, but then Plant added the lyrics. He had left that girl for the band ten years earlier... hence, "Ten Years Gone." He talks about this in an interview. "All of My Love" is about Plant's son Karac.

What is this crap. I mean Eveyone's heard of Led Zeppelin. But they shouldn't be famous.
