With the New York Times recently hailing Joan Jett as the
“godmother to female musicians with loud guitars and
idealistic dreams,” that moniker joins “the queen of punk”
“the girl Elvis” and “the original riot grrrl” as another
way to describe the timeless appeal of a woman and her
music.
Joan Jett’s icon status as a pop culture symbol of what
women can achieve continues to grow throughout the world.
“Fit To Be Tied” is Joan’s first greatest hits CD, (out on
Mercury) to the delight of all her fans. With a new Joan
Jett and the Blackhearts album due on Warners in the fall,
a Runaways retrospective due, and and a role in the film

------ About the song Do You Wanna Touch Me performed by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
Growing up with her in the late 70's, I never paid her much mind. I saw her last week at the True Colors tour in Phoenix, and am still 'stunned'. Hot, studly, sexy, the body of a 20 year old, her voice is better then EVER, she is WILDER than ever, but the best was watching her spit fly over the audience (using binoculars) when she was belting it out. And of course the 'NOW I'm fucking PISSED' she proclaimed after she got a shock from her microphone was a VERY sweet touch!! Can't touch that!!!

------ About the song Ridin' With James Dean performed by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
I never ever heard about James Dean, until I saw the movie James Dean, I'm only 16 so he was before my time, but it is really great that you wrote a song about him, but I will be reading about it in my class. Thank You for an awesome song.
