A lone guitar and an unforgettable melody begin, then
three voices join in harmony - it's the start of This Is
Where I Came In. With that title-track and the album that
follows, you're connecting again with what is best about
the Bee Gees, the essence of their four decades of writing
and performing pop hits, new music that's fresh and
inspiring, and those incredible vocals. "Yes, it's the
harmonies," Maurice Gibb says, "they're what keep people
coming back to us." Harmonies, melodies, heartbeat rhythms
- that's what makes the Bee Gees' songs constant in the
soundtrack of our lives. We've fallen in love to the
accompaniment of "How Deep Is Your Love" and "To Love
Somebody," hit the dancefloor to "You Should Be Dancin'"
and "Stayin' Alive," sought hope with "Ho More...
Review about The Bee Gees Bee Gees in OZ | Reviewer: Steve Borrow
------ About artist/band The Bee Gees
The Bee Gees were regularly featured on the popular Australian live music show Bandstand back in the very early sixties. I remember them singing the Lonnie Donegan classic, My Old Man's a Dustman, to great acclaim. They dressed in waistcoats and Barry towered over his two younger siblings. In about 1966 they recorded Spicks and Specks and decided to go back to the UK to try their luck there. They secured some international recognition with First of May, New York Mining Disaster, To Love Somebody, and Words, but lost their way for a time. Cucumber Castle was a weird detour, and then they came back with the disco age. Those amazing falsetto harmonies over a thumping bottom sound and uncoriographed dance steps gave dancing an egalitarian quality – everyone could look OK on the dance floor. The Bee Gees will always have a special place in the hearts of my generation of Australians, because this is where they grew into men and launched their spectacular careers.

WORLD SUPERGROUP THE BEE GEES | Reviewer: John
------ About artist/band The Bee Gees
Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys was asked: "Who are the greatest group of all time?" His response was "The Bee Gees".
Thank you Barry,Robin & Maurice for your music in my life. I have followed you since the 1960's and will continue to do so till I am gone. I am sure Maurice is looking down saying: "Get together brothers, there's more music to be made".
The charts are useless without the Bee Gees.

I love this song. The music, the words, how they perfectly sing every part. I remember hearing this song when I was around 3 years old and have never forgot it despite not hearing it for many years.

------ About the song Odessa performed by The Bee Gees
This 1969 song by the Bee Gees is the title track for the album "Odessa". This song (and really the entire album) is a culmination of their early work, with an original sound and vocal harmonies that still hold up thirty years later. An engaging and superb listen, I recommend it to all who would really know what the Bee Gees are all about.

I've heard many great songs from the bee gees, but this song? wow! The performance, the chords, the arrangement, the lyrics, the rhytm... and lets not forget that falseto which is a well implemented gimmick that turned into a musical character impossible to mimic. The more you listen to it the more details you can discover. Not overly produced and transparent... Simply my favorite BG song.
I had the Bee Gees Biography on VHS tape, but the tape was bad, I also had other Bee Gees stuff on tape but the whole tape is bad, I tried looking for it on the A & E site, but didn't see it. Does anybody know where I can get it? Thanx, Mike

------ About the song Alone performed by The Bee Gees
i think I got this lyrics when I really feel the same way as the lyrics says. So this is my interpretation. The subject is a playboy, but he never really attach to a woman & he feels alone all the time. But somehow, he finds someone who really takes his heart away. So, he tells her that he really love her. She is quite shocked when he said that. Sadly, the woman can never give an exact answer whether she love him or not. So, he waits her answer but it never come. He thinks that she is very busy & never had a chance to give the answer to him, but deep in his heart he misses her very much & still hopes that she will love him back. At that waiting time, he feels pain, love, hate, loneliness. Finally, he just conclude that she never really love him. So, for him it's better to become a playboy even though he will still feel alone.

The poet, all of them unknown refers to himself and his lover. 2 become one also a part of 18 sensational hits clearly outlines that tow become one in body, mind and soul. The hert of stone is the most precious diamond and emeralds etc, as everyone knows that the Supreme cn even bring life into precious, semi-precious and ordinary stones and rocks.the twist of fate is that either way he benefits and the pain refers to sexual pleasure and love nor hate relates to detachment for times when there is no expression of love.

Ok First of all The Beatles are way higher than The Bee Gees and second they are way greater.
The Bee Gees sound like someone is grabbing there crotch most of the time when they sing.
And to that other user person ok wtf is any other song repetition of cords.

You Should Be Dancin | Reviewer: Joey
------ About the song You Should Be Dancing performed by The Bee Gees
I think this song DOES have a very catchy tune, like the person said above me. The only thing i think is wrong, is it's just the same lyrics over and over and over again. And over and over and over. Especially the 'You should be dancin'' part where they sing it 10 times. Over and over and over.
Meaning of Lamplight | Reviewer: Fred
------ About the song Lamplight performed by The Bee Gees
After 40 years I still get goosebimps listening to the song.
I have always wondered if it is about a love lost due to drugs, common in the Sixties.
Or an abortion.
Strange also the French intro.
Setting reminds one of Lili Marleen.
What do you think?
Better late than never to open my "living eyes" and ears | Reviewer: rhythmstykk@yahoo.com
------ About the song Living Eyes performed by The Bee Gees
I was in high school during the outbreak of "Saturday Night Fever" and loved the sound of the Bee Gees probably more than their average fan and there were plenty of Bee Gees fans in 1978. But by 1980 the sometimes mean-spirited backlash against disco (I never really understood why the public turned on disco with the "disco sucks" chants being heard at every pep rally at my high school) was at full steam and this album went unnoticed by me and apparently alot of other people. It was very "uncool" to like the Bee Gees at that time so I hadn't heard any of the songs on this album until recently. I read the reviews and listened to the 30 second clips on itunes and was intrigued by what I read and heard. After downloading the entire album the first thing that ran through my mind was "how in the world did none of these songs get airplay?" I guess that shows just how strong the anti-disco movement was. The title track "Living Eyes" gave me chills (and still does to some degree) when I heard it the first time. Wildflower is one of those songs that gets better every time you hear it. Paradise is also top-notch. The weakest song is ironically the only song to crack the top 40 in the U.S. I listened to it once and that was enough. That one bad apple shouldn't discourage anyone from taking a tasty bite of this quality collection of songs from one of the greatest bands of all time.
