------ About the song Feel Good Inc. performed by Gorillaz
"Feel Good Inc" is about the risk people take and the emptiness they feel when they fill their lives with meaningless sex and cheap thrills that will make them "feel good" quicker.
The tower represents the pollution of both our world, our soul, and our body. It shows the feeling of being trapped in that worlds and not knowing how to get out. Not knowing how to get past that barrier.
The mass of people within the tower are simply people who are caught and tangled up in that way of life and way of thinking. The rappers on the screen represent the media. They continually keep the people going by advertising sex as something that people need.
Murdoc, 2-D, and Russel have all taken part in the act, so they're trapped by their past decisions.
2-D has had loveless sex before, but his innocence and desire for love helps him look beyond the tangled masses to see what lies beyond. He notices Noodle, who may not have the pleasures of sex to enjoy, but she is content with keeping her innocence and virginity, and looks to seek happiness through other means (music, meditation, friendship, and family). She is happy in mind and soul.
2-D says "love's forever, love is free". This means that sex without love is meaningless. Love is free, where cheap sex comes at a cost.
Murdoc, who has numerous flings with women, is still enjoying the lifestyle, which makes him unaware of Noodle's flying island.
Russel is simply there. He's partaken in these acts, but, at the same time, doesn't exploit them.
People in that lifestyle call it "the fast life", but where are they going? The tower is stationary, but, as 2-D sees, Noodle is free from that life. She has found love through her bandmates, which takes her to new places and heights than the others (the flying windmill).
you might think that this is about real life but its about them as cartoons. "I aint happy I'm feeling glad" He's not happy to take those painkillers cause of his punched in eyes he also gets a psychoactive reaction from them. and then funky del is like telling him off about it
this song is refering to how the possesser "the rapping dude" is a dead Illuminati , giving its knowledge of wats coming , becuz were playing the Mason n Reps game exactly how the want us to, it explains in complete explaination of the Illuminati role n how we take part in their game n the main chorus might be symbolizing the confusion u would have knowing wats coming , Gurillaz . . . u know . . . dont you?

------ About the song Feel Good Inc. performed by Gorillaz
I think the song is referring to a town that has been overrun by drugs and drug dealers. 2-D opens up by trying to say that everyone is living for the now and feeling good(ephemeral style) rather than trying to be happy. Then his ideal land appears in his imagination and he is trying to get others to work with him to work to happyness. (Is everybody in?) But the drug dealer steps in and says that he has taken over the heart of the town and that 2-D is killing the buzz (with yo sound you kill the Inc) and he should just keep doing drugs and go with everyone else (don't stop, get it get it). (Watch the way I navigate) shows how much control drugs really have over whole cities. Then 2-D just keeps imagining a place of true happyness with noodle and watches it pass by because he doesn't know what to do and falls back into that pattern of abusing and telling himself he feels good, and the dealers just keep laughing about it because they are making money from people who don't know how to better themselves.

I love this song to pieces! Makes you want to get up and dance! Gorillaz is an awesome band :)
But I'm getting tired of coming to this page and seeing the obvious mistake in the lyrics. People keep changing it back! The lyrics are actually "It's there" not "It's dare" the only reason it's called Dare is the fact that Shaun Ryder's voice makes it sound like he's saying "It's dare"

------ About the song Feel Good Inc. performed by Gorillaz
I think you're not into ^^
"Feel Good" Inc means Feel Good Incorporation, and then, 2-D's speaking about an industry you'd call "Feel Good". Why? Beacause it's just a critics about the food society and the rights' access... That's just meaning: THE WORLD ISN'T FINE, candle with a lot of people never cares about world around!! ^^
So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see
-> That's mean it's appealing to see everyone became so poor that they're sent out to the street and nobody so good enough to give them a piece of money ^^
After this party, just before the chorus' beguinning, it's about the poors! They are bad and free, just bad because they're juged such for the society! They're NOT DECENT to show off!!
You've got a new horizon, it's epemeral style:
-> Translation would be:
Now you're poor, and about a few time, you're gonna die because you haven't food enough ^^
A melancholic town, where we never smile:
-> When there is too poors around, can you ever smile? No, 'cause the life isn't that good u_u
---- Windmill, windmill for the land (Windmill, a happyness machin we're needing to claim, to make a true land, and not a land where the badness reign)
Fall forever hand in hand (let's die together in the poorness)
Take it all in on stride (remember of anything you've done before dying)
It is sinking falling down (the Earth's diying!)
Love forever, love it's free let's turn forever you and me (Love give Happyness, so let's love to...)
Windmill, windmill for the land
is everbody in?
(...make a machin for our own happyness, will everybody work for it? Ready to preserve our living land?)
Conclusion:
Critic about the society doesn't care about the poor.
Critic about the one's who never cares about...
echology =D

------ About the song Feel Good Inc. performed by Gorillaz
to me the title feel good inc implies that feeling good has become a business. not necessarily drugs but just our materialist lifestyle as a whole. the given explanation in rise of the orge makes good sense but i think there is alot of things thrown in here. the island is definitely freedom and the helicopters are rushing to force it back to conformity of the fell good inc smoke stack tower and darkness that surrounds it. i think it represents alot of different things on alot of different levels but mainly its an attitude thing. either buy more into a materialistic world in which your never truly happy or let it all go live carefree and share the love.

------ About the song Feel Good Inc. performed by Gorillaz
It could mean this though but the whole Hollywood thing makes total sense:
Windmill can represtent love. as in instead of trying to make only urself feel good- try to make others feel good. which is why the windmill comes into place but honestly, i like Zac's idea the best!! Lol xD!
catchy but depressing. also lyrics differ... | Reviewer: Anonymous

first off,not to be a know it all, but funky del is a dead friend of russel and randomly posesses him.its in the book, gorillaz rise of the ogre, and the song could be about drugs but it plays music(in the back) thats in clint eastwoods movie good, bad, ugly. secondly in some fucking zoo they named a gorilla clint eastwood cause it never smiled.that didnt really have to do with it. in the movie g,b,u he leaves with a bag of money .
Drug Interpretation | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Feel Good Inc. performed by Gorillaz
Well, I think that these lyrics could be meaning something a lot different than Pop culture. Although it's my interpretation, I think that Feel Good Inc., like the anonymous person before me, represents drug companies/dealers. However, the windmill represents an escape from the addiction of the drugs. "Let's turn forever, you and me". De La Soul represents the addiction and how it can just invade your mind. And 2-D tries to escape the addiction, but realizes that he cannot.

------ About the song Hong Kong performed by Gorillaz
This really is a brilliant song for a number of reasons... musicality, harmony, melody, lyrics, layering, singing, etc.
But I can't help getting the impression this was somehow partially inspired by the film Empire of the Sun (a very young Christian Bale's (13 years old) first movie). The opening line of the song, "Junk boats and English boys", immediately calls to mind that film. There is a malaise running through the song that also brings to mind the events of UK handing Hong Kong over to China. All in all, it sounds like a Brit's lament over everything that went wrong (and right to some degree) in that fable city of the Orient.

"i think that this song is a good song and as well as clint eastwood. GORILLAZ ROCK! we're listening to it at 2:40am, we good.my favorite character is 2-D and in the music video for feel good inc, my favorite part is the part when murdoc shows his ass crack and is swinging it around LoL "
dylandy sister two:
"i think that this is a really good song but i really dont understand why murdoc has chicks all over him and theyre touching his nipple. to be honest, i think that this song doesnt seem like its talking about people being brainwashed by pop-culture. it sounds more like he's emo or something."

------ About the song Hong Kong performed by Gorillaz
This song is absolute BRILLIANCE!
The first two minutes alone are good within themselves. And the sound of the song mixes fabulously with the title. Hong Kong, a city of fusion between East and West. Hong Kong, a song that collides sounds from worlds apart into perfect harmony.
This song is bliss

------ About the song Feel Good Inc. performed by Gorillaz
I have read the book 'Rise of the Ogre' which is pretty much a biography of Gorillaz.
In it, they explain that this song is about people being brainwashed by pop culture, and Hollywood shutting down fresh ideas. De La Soul represents Hollywood (the INC), Noodle is freedom of thought and new ideas, and 2D wants to escape, but throughout the song realizes he can't.
At the end, he sits back in his chair, and repeats "Feel good..." to himself over and over to trick himself into feeling "good", as in forgetting about the tyranny of De La Soul (aka HOLLYWOOD).
This song is downright depressing.
