Review about Diana Ross Steve | Reviewer: Tracy
------ About the song Missing you performed by Diana Ross
This song always reminds me of Steve, a young man who I was crazy about, but unfortunately he didn't feel the same. Two years after we met, he died in a small plane crash. This song was popular at that time.
Two days ago would have been his 50th birthday. I was driving at night and a song I had never heard before came on the radio. I couldn't believe my ears. "It was Every Time I Pray" (I did a search on the internet). The chorus goes like this:
Every move I make, every single day
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
Ill be missing you
Thinking of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
Ill be missing you
somebody tell me why
On that morning
When this life is over
I know
Ill see your face

------ About the song If We Hold On Together performed by Diana Ross
Wow. I watched The Land Before Time last night and by the time it even got to the song I was in tears. This song hasn't even crossed my mind since I was 5 (I'm 17 now).
So many happy memories came with it. How young and innocent and happy, I was. It's crazy how one song has affected me like this considering I listen to stuff from Hollywood Undead. It makes me regret growing up. :)

------ About the song Missing you performed by Diana Ross
My mommy died Aug 3 2008 while we were vacationing. It was supposed to be a happy time but God calld her home the day after we got there. This song epitomizes how I feel. I can feel Diana's passion so much, that it seems thiz song was written just for my mommy. No matter how old I get....she will always be my "mommy"!

I love this song so much! It's the greatest song ever, both lyric and music are very beautiful and meaningful.. Diana Ross also sang it beautifully.. And yeah, the movie "The Land Before Time" is a simple but very meaningful, about friendship, love, and hope... I love them (movie and song) forever...

Tell me why the road turns | Reviewer: Fernandette
------ About the song Missing you performed by Diana Ross
"Tell me why the road turns?"
That´s a good question and I wished I knew the answer...
Anyway, this song reminds a boy who I´ve loved when I was teenager and he didnt know about my feelings for him but in the day he learnt about it his house was invaded by criminals then scared his family moved away and I´ve lost probably the love of my life for just a matter of a single day. I wished he learnt about it a day before that--I am sure everything would have be different: "why the road turns?"

Diana unfortunately does not sing this song live any more. She uses a prerecorded vocal, it's so obvious cos at every concert it's exactly the same and has been for 2 years. She also don't sing live The Boss, Chain Reaction, Come see about me, More today than yesterday and What about love! What a con that concert was. The audience knew half the songs were not live cos most of the not live vocals sounded so false and pitch perfect unlike her live vocal which often is not sounding too great .

------ About the song I'm Still Waiting performed by Diana Ross
Ageing Diana Ross sang this song during the tour and she Did a good job. There were prerecorded instruments and backing vocals along with live instruments and backing vocals and Diana Ross's voice was really pleasing to the audience. She sounded good like how it should be. We clapped and thought well done lady, you still got em old vocal swarts!

------ About the song Missing you performed by Diana Ross
I was such a fool, I am not a very affectionate person at all and now the hugs and kisses that I pushed away are history, he has moved on since I didn't respect him and treated my son better than him. I miss him and after hearing this song at the gym last night just as I'm thinking about where he might be this song comes on and my heart totally broke...beautiful song who I now dedicate to my husband.

------ About the song Missing you performed by Diana Ross
When I was a child, still living at home with my parents, my older brother and I were very close. Until one day, I came home from school and found out that he had ran away from home. I tried listening to the radio to ease my mind and "Missing You" was the very first song that played. Ever since then, this song makes me cry.
Something New In My Life | Reviewer: M.LA TORRE
------ About the song It's My Turn performed by Diana Ross
What a song, so full of emotion but with determination to start anew. The first time I heard, already struck something in me...and instantly became one of my all-time personal favorite. This year 2008, life is not so good to me (or so what I might think). I lost my eldest son in a vehicular accident, a rocky marriage that finally crumbled...a union "I kept on holding on" for the sake of the kids.
But lately, when I heard this song again alone in my room, I finally realized and told to myself, WHY NOT... IT'S MY TURN. I maybe in my 40's but it's not yet late to start EVERYTHING, starting even from number One.
I am looking for the music to A Mother's Love you give the lyrics but not the music i would like to hear it im looking for a song to dance with my boys at my wedding the word are what im looking for but cant find the cd or the song for that matter
The Boss...Fierce and Flawless! | Reviewer: Chef Michael
------ About the song The Boss performed by Diana Ross
I was a kid (11 yrs old) when this song came out and instantly, I fell in love with it. The arrangement of the horns, strings and lyrics were hypnotic. Ashford & Simpson made Ross sing to the top of her vocal chords. Listen to her hit those high notes. Never before had Ross reached into her high register. And let's not talk about the cover of the album. Again...flawless! There are other cuts like 'Once In The Morning' and my other favorite 'No One Gets The Prize' that should have been released as a 12" single, but Motown bombed on that move. They should have pushed the album to its limit, but unfortunately they didn't. On 'No One Gets The Prize' you can hear Nick Ashford screaming on the drive..."no one, no one". Fierce vocal arrangements. In 1979, Disco was hot and so was the Hustle. I remember when 'The Boss' was released on a 12" mix, people where doing the hustle and enjoying life. The Boss (album and single) is my all time favorite by Ms. Ross. It gets no better than this!
I heard this song when I was a child. Like most everyone else off the move "The Land Before Time". Now I sing it to my son when he sleeps at night. I hope and pray he holds onto it just like I did.

------ About the song Mr. Lee performed by Diana Ross
Given to me by my parents on my 11th birthday, Jan.8, 1956.
I haven't heard it in many years, but just reading the lyrics brings back listening to the Atlantic 45, on the back porch (on a not-so-old then) Philco radio, the Bobbettes jivin happily.
