Stiff Upper Lip is the 17th album from a group that many
would call the world’s greatest rock band. The 12-song disc
finds AC/DC as unflappable as ever, a vibrant, vital rock
band at the top of their game.
Anchored by one of rock’s most rhythmic duos - brothers
Angus and Malcolm - and buoyed by the infamous throaty
drawl of singer Brian Johnson, Stiff Upper Lip not only
serves up the kind of carnal shards that fans have come to
expect, (it’s their first studio album in five years) but
also tips its hat to the blues-rock-roots of AC/DC and
brother/producer George Young - who returns to the work the
boards for the first time since 1978’s classic Powerage.
"Malcolm and I were sitting around going over possible
producers one day," recalls Angus. "We started talking More...

------ About artist/band AC/DC
the band AC/DC is undoubtedly the best band of the 70', 80', and the 90'. Angus is the reason i even own a SG Standard, i thought that first act was the bomb. now it's all sg, all the time. mine is very custom, it has a cherry sun burst w/ EMG SuperSustainers, and a bigsby system. in total, this thing has cost me about $12,000.

------ About the song Highway To Hell performed by AC/DC
Counter culture ideas and concepts sell records. People thought that Elvis was possessed. The Carpenter's (Richard and Karen) were thrown out of Disneyland becuase of their long hair, which Disney felt embraced a hippy culture. Walt Disney himself is was a raging anti-semite who may have had pedophilic tendencies. All this and AC/DC is chastiazed for lyrics written in the 1970's.
While you don't hear a lot about it, Slayer's member's are not Satanic either. It sells records - it is a show! The lead singer is Catholic! (See "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" - a fantastic documentary by Sam Dunn. If you like metal and Iron Maiden, Sam has a couple of documentarys that he's done.)
Motley Crue 1983's "Shout at the Devil" album received critical acclaim for Satanic references and symbols. They also were the first to wear spandex and a $%!+ load of eye make up. Other than being horrible for fashion for 10 years in music, this was as bad as it gets. FYI - the "Devil" according to Nikki Sixx was "anything you could stand up against and say "this is not right."
If you are still bothered by references to Satan, Hell, or the Devil in music, I would suggest learning about the Theory of Evolution and accept that religious beliefs are the only thing that have not changed in 2000 years. Bronze-aged dogma is the only thing to have survived in the minds of the uneducated, feeble masses who look to their "faith" to supply answers for questions that cannot be answered in science or through logic.
Remember - if something is "God's will," this can suggest that God is both good and evil at the same time. God is the one who allowed the victims of car accident to be killed, causing pain and suffering to the friends and relatives of the victim. Interestingly enough, these people pray to this "God" for comfort - the same God that caused the pain in the first place.
If God is both good and bad, then it stands to reason that God is the Devil, and the Devil is God. And since everthing is a creation of God and God's will, AC/DC is also an expression of God's will. And the lyrics, therefore, are an expression of God.
"I've got the Devil in my ear, telling me what to do... and I'm all ears." Rock & Roll Singer - AC/DC
Religion is not the problem - it is those who seek to control others through fear (people fear what they do not understand and religion is the prozac for this fear) and through slanted interpretation.
It is time to enter the new age, people. Darwin's theories of natural selection and evolution aside, we know that the strong survive. But what we will learn is that the smart ones have an advantage over the sheep in society.
Peace out - For Those About to Rock...

------ About the song Let There Be Rock performed by AC/DC
Th perception is that rock bands are somehow linked to the "devil" primarily through an interpretation of their lyrics, but since there is no precedent that I could find for establishing such "worship" harmonically this is a rather vague connection.
Looking specifically at ACDC, it is diffidult to establish any connection between any lyrical or harmonic content that would lead to the conclusion that there was any refernce to or encouragement towards some or other form of devil worship.
SO FUCK OFF YOU STUPID CUNTS WHO HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT IS OFFENSIVE FOR FUCKS SAKE.

Also people say stuff feelling possessed half the time demon possessed people like try to slaughter people they would seem quite psycholologhically retarded if you met them on the street they're not just some regular person. Another thing demon possessed people don't just say "I feel possessed" it's like having a seizure a little kid who was demon possessed threw a refrigerator. They just write stuff like "Hey Satan Paid My Dues" to bring in the rebellious teenagers they just want people to buy their albums they could care less if you burn them. What that other guy said about the protests against U2 that's pretty sad because only Adam Clayton isn't a Christian. Bono, The Edge, and Larry are Christians when Fundamentalist Christians call rock satanic it gets annoying but when they say Christian Rock is satanic that's just being plain close minded.

------ About the song Highway To Hell performed by AC/DC
I am a Christian and its interesting if you look at some of the lyrics to this song you could get the inclination it's about hell. And to humble saint if AC/DC were satanists why would they deny it? The best thing for you to do is ignore it because the more fundamentalist Christians talk about these bands the more famous they get. It's not your job to judge them, not mine it's God's. Every band does this they write a song about going to a local bar or something and add a few lyrics to make people think it's satanic. It's textbook. Most bands don't take it seriously outside of black metal I don't even think cannibal corpse takes seriously what they write in their songs. and to the person below me yes U2 ok they aren't as spiritual as they were back in the 80's but they haven't been destroyed by their fame I mean Miley Cyrus has been destroyed by her fame and Britny Spears. I think humble saint could be just joking because ok most enemies of rock are at least in their 40's. If AC/DC were satanists don't you think they would be preaching their satanism it's not like they attended any satanic churches, satanic rituals, also AC/DC are very humble people. Most people who knew Bon Scott describe him as a very nice, charismatic man, not an anti-christ rebel. Also AC/DC haven't worn any satanic symbols and don't say BS wore one on the cover of hth because a pentagram only resembles satanism when it has a ring around it and a goats head inside it. Also why are you on here humble saint? Not telling you to get off just asking why. Demon possessed people don't say they feel demon possessed ok I heard that this demon possessed kid threw a refrigerator across a room and do you see AC/DC going out sacrificing goats? No. They don't do drugs, they're humble, and they give to charity. There you have it.

------ About the song Let There Be Rock performed by AC/DC
For the religious fag, acdc songs are not satanic, highway to hell is an ironic reference to stairway to heaven, and that's all, and if it really has a meaning, it's the following: The humanity is f*cked and everyone is goin' to hell, or it's another ironic reference, but this time is directed to all those religious fags who think that acdc is satanic

------ About the song Highway To Hell performed by AC/DC
I think that it is stupid that people attack this song because they think it is satanic in nature. Some songs are meant to be serious. This one was meant to be catchy so people can rock out to it. I am a Christian and I think it is really unfortunate that some of my fellow Christians are so closed minded. I recently went to a U2 concert at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, where there were Christian protestors saying that Bono was either the devil or the anti-christ. I really resent Christian involvement in trying to enforce censorship of rock music in the 1980's and even their attempts at more recent censorship. Censorship is wrong! I can't change the fact that some of the Christian community is close-minded and the opinions of non-believers are to be respected.
brian johnson has no clue now , nor ever as how to write lyrics like this or to be able to create the vocalization emphasis without having first heard out-takes of material bon scott recorded in rehearsals for this album . which means 1> there are recordings of bon scott singing all of the back in black songs and 2> they did not credit bon scott for writing this which means ac dc has betrayed the one man who would have and did give his life for the band. there are ones who are alive today who know all about this and they know brian johnson has no ability to write anything that great. brian has had 20 years to match it or better it and has not even come close . which means only bon scott was capable of something that great.
ac dc are theives and shams for witholding bon scotts name on the writing credits for the back in black album. i loved the band , know i despise them. sad to say but if angus were to have died instead , bon scott would have been able to still write with ever increasing abilities and achievements in terms of commercial album sales success more than ac dc has unable to do ever since without bon.
bon scott rest in peace my friend.
love ya.

Its interesting to hear some of these bands try to give an excuse to cover up there satanism. If they were just talking about going to a local bar then why would thy have said "hey satan paid my dues playin in a rockin band." Then again In Hell's bells they say "im gonna getcha, Satan getcha. And their guitar player Angus Young admited in an interview to feeling possesed after part ways through the first song. Have you ever wonderd why the lead singers of bands or band members who had the most influence in the band died young death or through drugs or suicide or something else. Elvis, John lennon, Kirk Cobain, Michael Jackson. These people supposibly had the world by their tail they could buy almost anything they wanted. why would they commit suicide or overdose on drugs or whatever else they died of. Just goes to show that there is no reward for serving satan he is the master deciever. Jesus is the Only one who gives hope for the future who cares about this cruel world ruled by the devil. In a million years from now this life will be just a faided memory or eternal regret for those who reject Christ. I too was into this garbage but think God He pulled me out and He can you too!
Okay, the guy whose name is daddy, you don't know anything about this song and I'm pretty sure you don't know much about the band either. Don't come here and hate probably the biggest rock band ever, that's like going on to a plane and saying "shit the timers gone off, but nothing's happening!" For christ sake man, go home and listen to your jobros and leave us in peace.
Side Note: Bon Scott will always be missed, I loved him and all of the songs he's in, though it's a pity he died, but he will live on forever in AC/DC's name and legacy.

I'm sorry, but the guy who calls himself "daddy" is a complete idiot. It has nothing to do with Satan or anything like that. If you took the time to actually read about the song you would know that. Why don't you go back to your cousin/wife and leave the real thinking to everyone else.
