Genre - Classic Rock, Pop, Rock Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson were the creative spark behind Heart, a hard-rock group who initially found success in the mid-'70s, only to reach greater heights after engineering a major comeback a decade later. The daughters of a Marine Corps captain, Ann (born June 19, 1950) and Nancy (born March 16, 1954) grew up in both Southern California and Taiwan before the Wilson family settled in Seattle, Washington. Throughout their formative years, both were interested in folk and pop music; while Ann never took any formal music lessons as a child (she later learned to play several instruments), Nancy took up guitar and flute. After both sisters spent some time at college, they decided to try their hand as professional musicians, and while More... Although this song came out over a decade later and was not written by the sisters it is still one of my favourite Heart tunes. I believe this is the first Heart tune that featured Nancy on lead vocals, and really showcases what an amazing vocalist she is. She could have been a great solo artist, but when you are in a band with one of the best female vocalists in the world(Annie Wilson), I guess it is easy to get overlooked in that department. Still sounds fresh after all these years, and few songs have that quality. They played at the community hall,it held about 1500 people,they were a grity strong band. There were few female lead singers at the time, the Wilson sisters were fore runners. Apparently this song was written after a skeezy reporter asked one of the sisters how her 'lover' was. She thought he meant Micheal. He meant her sister.
