Happiness by the Kilowatt Lyrics - City And Colour

Review The Song (5)

So this is continuous happiness
You know, I always
Imagined it something more

With the right paint,
The right shades,
The right frames,
This could really work
What a great day to spend indoors

So wake, wake up,
Just wake, wake up

So where has all the day gone?
And why are my lungs aching when I breathe?
Is there something wrong with the heat?
Why am I so cold?
My heart feels sick
And it hurts when I speak

So wake, wake up,
Just wake, wake up

Was this what we hoped for?

Was this what we hoped for?

Dallas Greens's voice together with the lyrics of the song and the piano create an undescribable feeling when the song plays....it's got a depressing yet uplifting edge 2 it....it suggests a somewhat different outlook on life...it creates pictures, moving pictures...a story in my mind....what an amazing artist..

Outstanding. | Reviewer: Randi | 3/27/10

His voice, his way with words. The way he can speak to everyone. But in everyone's eyes his lyrics means something completely opposite.
Every song of his has more then rhythm more then a beat, he has depth.

Dallas Green is simply amazing | Reviewer: Mark | 1/20/10

When i found out my uncle passed away from cancer this song and the song body in a box, death of me reminded me of the death and sorrow life goes through yet by this song i felt stronger and think of him everything i listen to it.

absolutely gorgeous. | Reviewer: Gabbi | 2/12/09

his voice; the tone has something i've never heard before.
it's beauty and sincerity makes my index linger
around the repeat button, over and over again.
it's amazing that a song can be so emotionally
distracting, in such a good way.
the piano adds an elegance to the way the lyrics are sung that no other instrument
could have done.
all in all, a beautiful song.

Dallas Green music is perfect when you're feeling sombre. | Reviewer: steven | 9/3/07

Had some terrible news today and for whatever reason I find comfort in the melancholic tone of this and other Dallas Green songs. Perhaps when you hear pain in a song it reminds you that it is part of life but doesn't render it ugly.
