As the song says, "Hide the scars", as in mask what is true and keep taking the "beatings", in whatever form they may be, all the while thinking it is something else causing it. "Here you go create another fable", make a new lie, which could go with hiding scars with religion. "You wanted to", you chose what you do, and no God, no Religion says otherwise. And, the conflictions he has with Father, or God as some religions consider, on whether or not he should kill himself, though it is a clear contridiction of most religous beleifs, tearing him apart on why he cant do it. All the while he is wondering why the Angel's in Heaven can be so happy while he is not. He also thinks God left him because he is being abused. But he is an angel, since he hasn't done anything wrong. The words from the bible are to compare this act to what happened to Jesus. Beaten, and he cries those words before he dies.
