Led Zeppelin Babe I'm gonna leave you Lyrics

Last updated: 10/22/2014 06:21:03 PM

Babe, baby, baby, Im gonna leave you.
I said baby, you know Im gonna leave you.
Ill leave you when the summertime,
Leave you when the summer comes arollin
Leave you when the summer comes along.

Baby, baby, I dont wanna leave you,
I aint jokin woman, I got to ramble.
Oh, yeah, baby, baby, I wont be there,
Really got to ramble.
I can hear it callin me the way it used to do,
I can hear it callin me back home.

I know, I never leave you, baby.
But I got to go away from this place, Ive got to quit you.
Ooh, baby,
Baby, ooh dont you hear it callin?
Woman, woman, I know, I know its good to have you back again
And I know that one day baby, its *gonna really* grow, yes it is.
We gonna go walkin through the park every day.
Hear what I say, every day.
Baby, its really growin, you made me happy every single day.
But now Ive got to go away
Baby, baby, baby, baby
Thats when its callin me
Thats when its callin me back home...

Who even listens to this shit anymore? | Reviewer: ImNotSerious | 10/21/14

It's the 21st century, if you really like this music you should bury yourself deep underground. When I listen to these zeppelins, I get so depressed, how can you listen to this, seriously. It doesn't even have a drop, what is a song without a drop? Nothing. This is crap. Even the lyrics are shitty. How many times does this gay-voiced singer say baby? Even Justin Bieber can write better lyrics with the word 'baby' in it. And I HATE that JB asshole.
One word can sum it up: Bullshit.

Don't ever say bad about ZEPP MFs | Reviewer: Eatcyanide | 11/20/12

The person before commenting about this song is such a stupid metal wannabe...He compared Zepp with Linking park ftw?? Are you fucking outta your mind?? I've been listening this song since 1990 and still It makes me chill every time I listen to it. These days more faggots are born who love Linking park and hate Led Zepp.

Beatiful | Reviewer: Slygal | 6/7/12

This song starts off soft, a new love then gets strong, passionate,
Beautiful, then slows back down, like love lost.....i love this song, no other
Band will ever come close, to Led Zep. One and only.

This song reaches so deep in my soul. He and I...we just couldn't be together due to unfortunate circumstances. He had to leave me when the winter came a rollin. I know when he hears this song,he remembers me.

Greatest Song | Reviewer: Derpling | 1/16/12

Wow, this song is just... Wow. It's so powerful, the guitar and vocals especially. I speaks to me so clearly, since I'm the situation. It's maybe getting better, but should I take the chance? Or should I just leave her, because we've changed too much.

...but seemingly only for a duration of time. So, maybe the song is about no longer feeling fully committed or monogamous. It's hard to decide to leave someone you no longer feel passionately about, but still love.

My favorite song had always been Stairway To Heaven, then I happened upon this song and I was totally blown away. No song, ever, has been so powerful to me, speaking to my mind, heart, and SOUL. It haunts me all of the time. And plant's vocals make it even more hauntingly powerful. No one can sing like Plant can. So much passion. I see it as a song of contradictions. He talks about leaving her. But, he never "REALLY" does leave her--he can't.............

The power behind this song | Reviewer: Alyssa Yonko | 8/26/10

This Is by far one of the greatest songs I have ever had the pleasure of hearing, Led zeppelin is Powerfull, Mystical and Incomparable to any other with robert plant voicing these lyrics is just an Uncommon Magic.

Hauntingly Beautiful Song | Reviewer: Matt | 3/19/10

Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You has always been a very important song to me. It's about a man fighting to stay, even though he knows that he can't any longer. This is only one of a few songs that actually have made me cry. This is one of the greatest songs ever.

Zep does a good version of Anne's song.. Babe I'm Going to Leave You | Reviewer: Bill | 8/15/09

In attempting to learn the song it took me a bit to find coherence within the lyric (Zep) version... finding the original lyric/ Anne Bredon (Maiden Name: Loeb)brought it into perspective for me.
Written +/-1959 ... from what I can gather, Anne was about to leave her first husband and first two kids... very powerful image...

Love you have to leave | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/12/09

I see the song as a love that as strong as it is they are better off away from each other. Knowing (hoping) that one day we will go walking throught the park and, it's really gonna grow. But for now I have to quit you. Ya know that love that you can't seem to decide to be away or together. Hate when together but hate being apart.

a very special song | Reviewer: Ben | 1/20/09

this song get into me, it touch my heard as no other song. Its about how the road calling and that strong need to ramble... to explore the land. I've been a truckdriver for nearly 17 years and allways felt that urge when I stayed home to long...

Contradiction | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/11/09

Music and lyrics are harmonious as most of Led Zeppelin songs.
This song gives me blues and enthusiasm, anger at the same time...
There can be so many reasons for "leaving" and no matter what, the action of "leaving" is sad.
It can be leaving the earth as you know it, leaving a woman, leaving a place...
You feel/know you gotta go, maybe you want it also, but at the same time you wanna stay...
This song's musical and lyrical contrasts give those feelings in 06:40. Like "life" itself.

Touches my soul... | Reviewer: jeffman | 12/13/08

A week ago I found out my wife was having a romantic affair for the past year with someone I'd entrusted with the details of our marital relationship over the past 8 years... Four days ago I stumbled upon this song... I don't believe I can align myself, my pain, my angst with anything more closely than I can with this moving, beautiful song... Leaving her is still in question - in the summertime, perhaps...

Reminds me. | Reviewer: Cecilie | 1/19/08

Beautyful song, I really have some feelings for it.. it reminds me of a hard time with a dear friend of mine. And so many other aspects of living.. It's just beautyful.
