About six years ago in Indiana, Carmen Winstead was pushed down a sewer opening by five girls in her school, trying to embarrass her in front of her school during a fire drill. When she didn't submerge, the police were called. They went down and brought up 17-year-old Carmen Winstead's body, with her neck broken from hitting the ladder, then the concrete at the bottom. The girls told everyone that she fell...and they believed them.

FACT: About two months later, 16-year-old David Gregory read this post but didn't repost it. When he went to take a shower, he heard laughter, started freaking out, and ran to his computer to repost it. He said goodnight to his mom and went to sleep, but five hours later, his mom woke up in the middle of the night from a loud noise and David was gone. A few hours later, the police found him in the sewer, with a broken neck and the skin on his face peeled off.
Even Google her name - you'll find this to be true.
If you don't repost saying "They hurt her," then Carmen will get you, either from a sewer, the toilet, the shower, or when you go to sleep, you'll wake up in the sewer, in the dark, then Carmen will come and kill you.

this is my favorite song on the opendoor. the lyrics that stand out to me are Though I patiently waited, bedside, for the death of today because to me i feel like how i was waiting to fall apart. im not saying thats what they mean. its just thats what they would mean in my perspective.

This song is just great. What can I say?
The lyrics... so meaningful...
People who consider the song as meaningless shouldn't have a higher IQ than their dogs.
It's full of metaphors, so that each listener will understand it his own way .And this makes it easier to relate to, cause it could match in many, many situations.
Amy has a beautiful voice, but she doesn't control her power live. She's better on acoustic, in my opinion...
Even though, this is one of my favorite songs. Hands down.

every single song she wrote has a meaning
and every time i hear this song i think that she has been through it all.

every word, every letter, every sentance.
and lately im just starting to realize that with out the lyrics and the writing and the meanings of the words music is nothing, i am nothing.
I love this song because you can take it and use it, the lyrics, the words, everything, to relate.
I can relate. It's just so meaningful, and a bit impulsive.
and so in other words everybody use the words to inspire. im so sick of the trashy meaningless rap and "kill a nigger" kind of music when we have inspirational music like this. listen. relate. inspire.

This song is really awesome.I read some critics about the lyrics, they said it was meaningless, but for me it has a really intriguing feeling and meaning.Thumbs Up for Evanescence, they're the best. Really.
