Yes, I Am Blind Lyrics - Morrissey

Review The Song (2)

Yes, I am blind
No, I can't see
The good things
Just the bad things, oh...

Yes, I am blind
No, I can't see
There must be something
Horribly wrong with me ?

God, come down
If you're really there
Well, you're the one who claims to care

Love's young dream
I'm the one who shopped you
I'm the one who stopped you
'Cause in my sorry way I love you
Love's young dream

Are you sorry
For what you've done ?
Well, you're not the only one
And in my sorry way I love you

Yes, I am blind
But I do see
Evil people prosper
Over the likes of you and me
ALWAYS

God, come down
If you're really there
Well, you're the one who claims to care

Little lamb
On a hill
Run fast if you can
Good Christians, they want to kill you
And your life has not even begun !
You're just like me, you're just like me
Oh, your life has not even begun !
You're just like me, you're just like me
And your life has not even begun !
You're just like me, just like me
And your life has not even begun !
You're just like me, you're just like, just like me

"little lamb on a hill... Good Christians want to kill you..."
Here we have yet another lyric that shows Morrissey isn't as enlightened as all of his sycophant fans would have you believe. Jews sacrificed lambs not christians. So many lyrics to pick from but this one was my favorite. Ignorance spoken by celebrities always seems to reach the ears of the ignorant.

Biblical confessions of Moz? | Reviewer: Yusuf | 9/12/08

...But maybe just deep emotional confessions: Morrissey sings in a little song the very own cross he cares. Just like Jesus he ask the Father for mercy, as he admits he can't understand the world he living in. He don't see the good in things people use to love, and admits at the same time to love things most people hate: Morrissey talks about the young love he shopped, and about the regret he feels for buying this kind of young dream. He calls upon God to solve isues of unjustice all over the world, especially those concerning animal rights. He ends the song saying he is just like a little lamb, once more reminds the son of Mary - Agnus Dei.
