Worn Me Down Lyrics - Rachael Yamagata
Review The Song (2)
Gone, she's gone
How do you feel about it
That's what I thought
You're real torn up about it
And I wish you the best
But I could do without it
And I will, because you've worn me down
Oh, I will, because you've worn me down
Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
But you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her
And you're wrong, you're wrong
I'm not overreacting
Something is off
Why don't we ever believe ourselves
And I, oh, I feel that word for you
And I will, because you've worn me down
Oh, I will because you have worn me down
Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
But you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her
She's so pretty; she's so damn right
But I'm so tired of thinking
About her tonight
Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
But you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her
Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told
Worn me down to my knees
I did everything to please
Worn me down like a road
I did everything you told to me to do
But you, you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her
No, you can't stop thinking about her

Wanting someone who doesn't want you.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/19/2007
Anyone who has been in this situation will understand this song. You fall for someone and invest your feelings, your time, and your energy into making it work with them...you make yourself vulnerable and put everything on the line...and it still isn't enough. No matter what you do, they can't get that other person out of their mind. This song describes that moment when you just can't take it anymore, when you realize you need to cut your losses and move on.
This is It. | Reviewer: Fevered | 9/3/2004
The feeling of need. The Feeling to want to feel. The feel of anything great that cannot be broke. This is what this song means at the very moment you hear even the slightest rise of her voice just hit your ears. Worn me Down like a road...listen to her. Let her tell you about how a girl and boy will forever measure life with eachothers grace and once present physically; now gone.... Rachael Yamagata gives you a taste into a story she's so deliciously cooked up for an audience that will undoubtably sympathize with her aching chords and strong appeal sonically. Only a song could bring people and words together as though they are soulmates. You want a song. This is It. Here it Is.
