@G W A G: Epic fail... If you listen properly you can clearly tell Will says "J-Dub and A G".. I read your comment and re-listened intently... It's definitely J-dub and you'd think you'd have gotten a clue about that from so many people other than you having written "J-dub".

Parents DO NOT understand what their teens are going thru to a large degree. I am 41 and am not too proud to say I don't. Yes, I was a teen once,but NEVER in the 21st century! Times change and so do a lot of the challenges and issues teens face. For instance, I never had a cell phone and so relished my quiet times. Kids today panick if they go to the bathroom without it for fear they will miss something while they wipe! Oh the agonies of being a teen! Should be grateful your parents can afford to get you all of those toys you MUST have but aren't essential to life.

I loved this song, my mom hated it. now I have teenage kids and I still love it and I still see the point. Parents and Kids don't understand EACH OTHER. Like in Freaky Friday... parents forget how hard being a kid is, we romanticize it remembering only certain things like "all I had to do is keep my room clean and wash the dishes, man i wish it was like that now" or how great it was that mom cooked out dinner for us. We forget how difficult it is with our hormones blasting us with mood swings, our bodies going all Alice In Wonderland on us, and difficulties with teachers, classmates, and PARENTS all while we're trying to figure out who we are. We forget how oppressive it feels when someone else is in charge of every aspect of your life (what time you go to bed, wake up, who you talk to and how long, what you can and and can not do).

I think it's funny that a 12 year old kid who hasn't lived hardly any years at all thinks they can say their parents don't understand when that parent has been alive a lot, lot longer and has actually lived through the same period of life that the 12 year old is living through. If you really think parents don't understand then the truth is it's you that does not understand. Believe me...parents understand way, way more than you think they do. Perhaps you would be wise to listen to experience once in a while. Use your ears instead of your mouths.
