"no more late nights watching tv" "no more talks on the phone til 3" "no more playing in the leaves in the fall" no more piggyback rides in the mall" when i think about talking on the phone until all hours when i was in high school, or how beautiful the leaves are in autumn and just rolling around in them, or someone playing in my hair(how good that feels) i realized that this song was bringing memories of love back to me. he talks about how he made this mistake and he can't really take it back even though he has apoligized and tried to explain he knows it is over. he talks about how he can still see them "hand in hand walking so alive now i'm a dead man talking" the lyrics are alive they are so real. it is amazing how one mistake can take away something that means everything to you and you don't understand its devastation until you see the shatterd pieces of your life lying all around you. this song is about love's fundalmentals, sharing, loving, future hope "you know me baby i'm still the same man that asked for your hand and still the same plan" life together with someone you believe is your soulmate. will smith is an artist of the highest calibar blessed with an abundance of talent and that cannot be denied. he along with neil larson wrote this amazing song and i would just love to be able to tell him one day how touched i am by his music and his film career.
