Wild West Hero Lyrics - Electric Light Orchestra
Review The Song (2)
Wish I was, yeah, a wild west hero.
Sometimes i look up high and then I think there might
just be a better life.
Away from all we know, that's where I wanna go,
out on the wild side
and I wish I was, o-oo-o-oh, a wild west hero.
Ride the range all the day till the first fading light,
be with my western girl round the fire, oh, so bright.
I'd be the Indians friend, let them live to be free,
ridin' into the sunset, I wish I could be.
I'd ride the desert sands and through the prairie lands,
try'n to do what's right.
The folks would come to me, they'd say, we need you here.
I'd stay there for the night.
Oh, I wish I was, o-oo-o-oh, a wild west hero.
Ride the range all the day till the first fading light,
be with my western girl round the fire, oh, so bright.
I'd be the Indians friend, let them live to be free,
ridin' into the sunset, I wish I could be.
Oh, I wish I was, o-oo-o-oh, a wild west hero.
Oh, I wish I was, o-oo-o-oh, a wild west hero.
Oh, I wish I was, o-oo-o-oh, a wild west hero.
Oh, I wish I was, o-oo-o-oh, a wild west hero.
Wish I was, o-o-oo-o-o-o-oo, a wild west hero.
Sometimes i look up high and then I think there might

..a wild west hero.. cant sing along with this song without crack and get watery eyes.. This is one of the songs that i without exeption love the most in my life.. Its Zebula Macahan, Indians and peolpe in need, and its sunset at the campfire with your beloved woman.
Sitting at my office doing boring stuff... i so whish i was..

This is a classic ELO song from one of the best LP's they did. Its been 30 years since the out of the blue lp was released and i still love it as much now as i did then.
