History
Whispering Forest was started on the 16-th of October 1995 by five people:
Alan - vocals & bass
Kai - female vocals
Tõnis - guitars
Keijo - guitars
Jaanus - drums

After a couple of months of writing songs we recorded our first demo which enabled us to give our first gig. In the summer of 1996 we replaced our female vocalist and a bass player was added to the line-up. Our first studio demo was recorded with the following line-up:

Alan - vocals
Katrin - vocals & keyboards
Tõnis - guitars
Keijo - guitars
Anders - bass
Jaanus - drums

Although the recording was never officially released it spread all over Estonia and the demand for our music grew rapidly. We recorded all our material in the fall of 1997, so we could release a tape, but before it happened the tensions between Alan and other bandmembers grew to the point where we had to change vocalists. Our bassplayer Anders took over the vocals and a new bass player was added to the line-up:

Anders - vocals
Katrin - vocals & keyboards
Tõnis - guitars
Keijo - guitars
Raivo - bass
Jaanus - drums

In the beginning of 1998 we recorded two songs which we also released as a CDR. The release got a lot of positive feedback and awakened the interest of a US record label Pantheon Records, where our first album was supposed to be released. In the fall of 1998 in the middle of the recording session we were forced to replace our long time drummer. The new drummer (Vambola) lasted only through the recording and one live, then decided to leave. In the end of 1998 after we heard that our album would be a split with Ningizzia and the release will be delayed Pantheon Records allowed us to release a small quantity of records as CDR's. In the beginning of 1999 we found a new drummer, a new keyboard player was added to the line-up, and there was another change of vocalists. In 1999 we gave a number of successful live shows with the new line-up and since the release of the split has still been delayed we started to re-record the material in the spring of 2000.
