Saw them years ago when my x drug me to a u2 show, which I hate. But the Pixies opened and kicked ass with inferior equipment and as far as I was concerned, the show was over when they went off.

I haven't had much exposure to the Pixies, unsung heros of the alternative scene
but if this song which ive onlypreviously heard through the 'Fight Club'finale
i'll be checking out more soon.
Black's cracked utterly unique vocals and Kim's ethereal backup whimpers
certainly establish one hell of an atmosphere and the guitar rythmn is unforgettable.


(you wanna try another song about being detached from your own head, though uh far more downbeat try Radiohead's 'How to dissapear completely' :)

this band is truly amazing. i found out about them through the film fight club whcich is brilliant. and this sing was played at the end and was tottally apropriate

Interesting band, awesome. These guys surely give the kind of atmosphere where you feel as though you really are detached from your own mind. the voice is sometimes... well, squeaky sounding, I may say, but you really get into the style of music. So, thumbs up for the group, great!

These guys know what it means to be detached from one's mind. A feeling I am quite familiar with and I don't mean because of drugs. They captured the feeling of your mind free flowing and what it can be like when it is completely empty.
