Review The Song (3)Print the Lyrics
I'm free to be whatever I
Whatever I choose
And I'll sing the blues if I want

I'm free to say whatever I
Whatever I like
If it's wrong or right it's alright

Always seems to me
You always see what people want you to see
How long's it gonna be
Before we get on the bus
And cause no fuss
Get a grip on yourself
It dont cost much

Free to be whatever you
Whatever you say
If it comes my way it's alright

You're free to be wherever you
Wherever you please
You can shoot the breeze if you want

It always seems to me
You always see what people want you to see
How long's it gonna be
Before we get on the bus
And cause no fuss
Get a grip on yourself
It don't cost much

I'm free to be whatever I
Whatever I choose
And I'll sing the blues if I want

Here in my mind
You know you might find
Something that you
You thought you once knew
But now it's all gone
And you know it's no fun
Yeah I know it's no fun
Oh I know it's no fun

I'm free to be whatever I
Whatever I choose
And I'll sing the blues if I want

I'm free to be whatever I
Whatever I choose
And I'll sing the blues if I want

Whatever you do
Whatever you say
Yeah I know it's alright

Whatever you do
Whatever you say
Yeah I know it's alright

Review about Whatever

Oh how wonderful the sound of Oasis... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/15/09

I have long considered Oasis my favorite band, love their sound and always felt a connection in my own life in the lyrics. However, I just recently heard this song for the first time and WOW it is beautiful!!! I only wish I could have been just a little older when they were kicking out masterpiece albums during the 1990s so I could get the full effect of what Oasis was in their prime. But as it is, I am a younger listener who has absolutely fallen in love with their music. Why can't rock and roll be just a little more like this? Love the song, love the band...

Best Single Ever | Reviewer: Joe | 8/9/07

This is probably one of the top five songs ever written in history. the rest i dont know which ones are they, but this is one of them, this song is a masterpiece in every sense of the words. farewell 1994, but thanks to record kid should listen to this instead of all the crap that's outhere these days.
it would make for better musicians. farewell-

Oasis hit the big time | Reviewer: www.leon_trotsky_1917@hotmail.co.uk | 12/16/05

Whatever was released in December 1994, it did not feature on Defintely Maybe, but is seen as the introduction to the amazing heights that Oasis were very shortly about to reach. It reached the Top 5 of the Charts, which shows the quality of the song, and has set the benchmark for all Oasis songs to follow, no single since has not reached the top 5, a record that cannot be matched by many bands. It is a very popular song amongst Oasis fans, and there is no doubt why when the lyrics are so engaging to the ordinary person on the street. Musically too, it is brilliant, combining the talents not only of the band with Noel, Liam, Guigsy, Bonehead and McCarroll. It also has classical instruments which give the music greater quality, making the song an admired tune by all.
