What Ever Happened? Lyrics

Review The Song (7)Print the Lyrics
I want to be forgotten,
and I don't want to be reminded.
You say "please don't make this harder."
No, I won't yet.

I wanna be beside her.
She wanna be admired.
You say "please don't make this harder."
No, I won't yet.

Oh dear, is it really all true?
Did they offend us and they want it to sound new?
Top ten ideas for countdown shows...
Whose culture is this and does anybody know?
I wait and tell myself "life ain't chess,"
But no one comes in and yes, you're alone...

You don't miss me, I know.

Oh Tennessee, what did you write?
I come to get her in the middle of the night.
Oh that's an ending that I can't write, 'cause
I've got you to let me down.

I want to be forgotten,
and I don't want to be reminded.
You say "please don't make this harder."
No, I won't yet.

I want to be beside her.
She wanna be admired.
You say "please don't make this harder."
No, I won't yet...

Review about What Ever Happened?

incredible lyrics | Reviewer: elise | 5/23/09

this couldn't better explain a guy who left me as well (he was "busy"). and when i was talking to my friend the other day about it she said, "What Ever Happened?" and it really triggered this song in my head and i realised how fitting it was.

Ah, this is probably the top song that reminds me of the boy that I like. He sent me a note saying that he doesn't date, which really reminded me of the lyrics "please don't make this harder." The "writing" paragraph also reminded me of us, we're both really into writing. Overall, it's a good song to describe him!!
Also, there's a great video on YouTube with Marie Antoinette to thing song!

all the chords from that song, and, jeez, the lyrics, makes me wanna cry and at the same time makes me want to scream to everyone that left me alone when i needed the most. I am by myself, and i don't care, i have the strokes to get me through.

this song is absolutely a song that i listen to when i just want to cry or when im pissed. it definitly helps me when i want to just forget everything and myself.

spine tingling | Reviewer: Rory | 9/11/07

I wait and tell myself "life ain't chess,"

this song is gold, the lyrics are very well done and the beat goes well throughout the whole song, probably their greatest entrance song into an album!

When I hear this song, it makes me choke up--I don't know why. I love melancholy songs, and this one really helps me get through the day.

It's like, happy sad. :]

Great song.

A Song That Sings to My Soul | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/25/06

AMAZING! BRILLIANT! ONE OF THOSE SONGS THAT MAKE YOU ROLL DOWN ALL FOUR CAR WINDOWS IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, CRANK THE VOLUME AS HIGH AS IT WILL GO, DRIVE 30 MILES OVER THE SPEED LIMIT, AND SING YOUR SOUL OUT AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS! I LOVE IT!!! ADRENALINE BOOST FOR SURE!!!!!
