Weather Report Suite Lyrics - Grateful Dead
Review The Song (4)
Winter rain, now tell me why, Summers fade, and roses die.
The answer came; the wind and rain.
Golden hills, now veiled in gray, Summer leaves have blown away
Now what remains? The wind and rain.
And like a desert spring, my lover comes and spreads her wings, Knowing,
Like a song that's born to soar the sky, Flowing,
Flowing 'til the waters all are dry, Growing, the loving in her eyes.
Circle songs and sands of time, and seasons will end in tumbled rhyme,
and little change, the wind and rain.
And like a desert spring, my lover comes and spreads her wings,
Knowing, Like a song that's born to soar the sky,
Flowing, Flowing 'til the rivers all are dry, Growing, the loving in her eyes.
Winter gray and falling rain, we'll see summer come again,
Darkness falls and seasons change (gonna happen every time).
Same old friends the wind and rain, Summers fade and roses die,
You'll see summer come again, Like a song that's born to soar the sky.

Head-sticking music | Reviewer: Mike | 11/28/13
As one reviewer has said, this is music that sticks in the brain. Don't try and get rid of it,
you could cause serious damage. This is breathtakingly beautiful music designed to be listened to in various altered states of consciousness (yes, as with Blues for Allah). Served a 4 month prison sentence and every night I went to bed listening to either BFA or WRS - that's the reason I could force myself to get up in a morning, the music acted as a buffer to life. Thank you GD.

This is the only song that keeps me going in the winter and fall. "'Summer will come again,' says Bob Weir," is what I keep in my head. Walking barefoot and what not - that's what I miss. Being free without having to cover up most of your body from the cold winds. Can't wait for summer... LONG LIVE GD...
Walking in Death Valley | Reviewer: terry crews | 3/26/10
When I was young and in the army, I was stationed for a while at Fort Erwin, near Death Valley. I could not get Weather Report Suite out of my head. I spent many a weekend walking aroung the desert, transported both naturally and chemically, listening to this song over and over, along with Blues for Allah.

Really, this song is stuck in my head each waking morning. I abosultely love the transcendental imagery that is given here. The best song in my opinion by the Dead...quite possibly the best song, period.
