7 Minutes In Heaven (Atavan Halen) Lyrics - Fall Out Boy

Review The Song (20)

[Backing vocals by Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco]

I'm sleeping my way out of this one
With anyone who will lie down
I'll be stuck fixated on one star
When the world is crashing down

I keep telling myself
I keep telling myself
I'm not the desperate type
But you've got me looking in through blinds
I keep telling myself
I keep telling myself
I'm not the desperate type

Sitting out dances on the wall
Trying to forget everything that isn't you
I'm not going home alone
Cause I don't do too well

Sitting out dances on the wall
Trying to forget everything that isn't you
I'm not going home alone
Cause I don't do too well on my own

The only thing worse than not knowing
Is you thinking that I don't know
I'm having another episode
I just need a stronger dose

I keep telling myself
I keep telling myself
I'm not the desperate type
But you've got me looking in through blinds
I keep telling myself
I keep telling myself
I'm not the desperate type

Sitting out dances on the wall
Trying to forget everything that isn't you
I'm not going home alone
Cause I don't do too well
Sitting out dances on the wall
Trying to forget everything that isn't you
I'm not going home alone
Cause I don't do too well on my own

I keep telling myself
I keep telling myself
I'm not the desperate type
But you've got me looking in through blinds
I keep telling myself
I keep telling myself
I'm not the desperate type

Sitting out dances on the wall
Trying to forget everything that isn't you
I'm not going home alone
Cause I don't do too well on my own

Before I knew panic | Reviewer: Virginia | 6/24/14

Before I knew panic at the disco I always thought the dude doing backup vocals was part of the band XD lol now I realize it's brendon urie that's so awesome.. But the story behind this song is so sad why would pete try and kill himself?! That's not a good way to stop how he felt...

i remember hearing this song in 5th or 6th grade in 2005 or 2006. I've already heard their other songs from Fall Out Boy, like Sugar We're Down, Dance Dance, and others, but after hearing this song, I knew I was going to be a fan or theirs

Sad, But True. | Reviewer: Kelsey | 12/4/09

I love this song, though its not my favorite from the album. I much prefer Dance Dance and Sugar We're Goin Down. I agree with Samantha in her saying that this album is better than the rest of their work, but I also agree with everything Kae said. Its not Pete's fault. And to T. SMALLZ: I hate you and I've never even met you! Shut up and quit being an imbecile.

strong and powerful | Reviewer: me, just me :D | 8/31/09

i agree with Kae, petes bi-polar and cant help it, but he's getting on with life...he's also surprisingly open with it. i mean if i was bi-polar like him, i wouldnt tell anyone and keep to myself....
this is one of my favourites off from under the cork tree along with sugar, were going dow

Sitting Out Dances. | Reviewer: Kae | 8/26/09

From under the cork tree will always be one of those albums that people enjoy and have memories to. Every song written by fall out boy has some sort of memory tied to it, and although this song's memory isn't the happest the song is great. Consider this song as a look inside pete's head. I understand all you fan girls are like 'OMG HE HAD SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR' he's bipolar. Its not up to him, that's just how he felt. Anywho this song is just an explanation. Its just pete explaining his feelings. This song deserves props.

Its good but depressing. | Reviewer: Samantha | 6/13/09

I am actually those few diehard fall out boy fans. I like From Under The Cork Tree way better than there other work. This song, well. Its obviously a suicide song. "I'm having another episode, I just need a stronger dose". Pete wrote it about his overdose on Atavan pills. Like, this song is GREAT. Amazing. I love how Pete writes his lyrics. But, its very depressing...i just can't believe he would want to commit suicide. He has so much to live for.

Love it! | Reviewer: Fall Out Girl | 4/8/08

I totally love this song!! I never get bored of it, I just have it playing over and over again on my iPod!! It's kind of depressing when you find out it's a suicide song but I know that other song's of Fall Out Boy's that have way more depressing lyrics. These guys are the best and I love Pete Wentz. We're getting married next week and you're all invited. Nah jokes but he is sooooo HOT!!

fob <3 | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/11/07

i can think of fob songs that have more depressing lyrics than this song, the only bit really is "I'm having another episode, I just need a stronger dose" that really refers to him having an overdose.. but yeah i love fob and all there songs are pretty bitchin' xx

Pete wat were u thinking | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/27/07

i love this song it is such a goos song i could listen to it forever i love fall out boy but of all there songs this song is one of my faves!!! I can't beleive Pete actually tried to comit suicide wat was he thinking!!!! good thing it didn't work b/c i love them soooo much!!!!

suicide explanation | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/12/07

its a suicide song cuz pete wentz (FOB's bassist) tried 2 kill himself wit an overdose of Ativan pills

My god. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/7/07

I didn't know this song until Civic Tour '07, when i saw them.
I know most of their work, but i actually never heard this song.
These lyrics are sexy, and almost made me cry the first time.
Greatness.

Fall Out Boy is pimplicious! | Reviewer: T.SMALLZ | 6/27/07

yo man, i only heard like 3 sonds of the album, and i;m hooked, i'm gonna go buy it now!

Go FOB! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/29/07

I really like the song and all...the guitar parts get stuck in my head, like the beginning...and I like the part 'I keep telling myself, I keep telling myself'...I just find it a little sad that it's about a suicide attempt...It's one of those happy sounding songs where if you listen to the lyrics closely you find that it's a little depressing...oh well, I still think the song is cool...

UNDER THE CORK TREE | Reviewer: Chill | 4/26/07

Man, I hate to say this, but I like from under the cork tree better than Infinaty on High. I think they sound a bit better on this one. Definately an awesome song. I'm still trying to figure out why this song was listed as a suicide song on Wikipedia. Oh well, this and Of all the gin joints in all the world are the 2 best songs on the CD in my opinion.

I Find it Kind of Depressing. . . | Reviewer: Amanda B. | 3/20/07

Alright it is a good song, but when you look on its reason, I mean its kind of sad. For those of you who don't know, this song was based on when Pete Wentz took an overdose of some medicine, trying to comit suiside. Personally, I find it kind of depressing, and you all should be sort of ashamed I guess. Well not really but you know. What's so good about suiside??? Eh?
