However, even without the symbolic meaning it has for both the relationship between both The Boss and Big Boss and the relationship between Big Boss and Solid Snake, the song is powerful. It's power comes from the sincerity of the lyrics. It comes from the gentle melody that accompanies those lyrics. It comes from the voice that sings those lyrics. It comes from the entirety of the three as they come together into a very beautiful and very sobering song. If you can, obtain this song, or at least stream it from a website.
