Review about Warheart Just Amazing` | Reviewer: Jacob Bender | 6/22/09 Hatebreeder, aside from Follow The Reaper, is one of their best albums providing the death metal genre while still retaining their signature form of using melody. Hence why their specific genre is Melodic Death Metal. Warheart was a good choice for an opening song because it really gets you into the album with its speedy riffs, awesome solo, and brilliant lyrics. HCDR had some amazing music on it. But it did have alot more filler then hatebreeder. I can listen to anysong on hatebreeder and get into it. Hatecrew there is three or four that i dont even like. with that said tho hatecrew deathroll is probably their best song. But as an album hatebreeder is soo far ahead of anything else they have composed. Brilliant | Reviewer: Metal is my World | 11/21/05 Hatebreed is Children of Bodom's strongest album, and this is one of their strongest songs. A good mixture of aggressive but very melodic riffs, blast beat drumming, poetic lyrics and death snarls/screams enrich this song to the highest level. This is a Melodic Death Metal group, which in my opinion, is one of the best types of metal. The death part ensures it is loud and aggressive, with frequent frenzying of blast beat drumming, and the death grunt. But! With the added aid of the 'Melodic' means it is tuneful, with everchanging chords and riffs and interesting poetic lyrics. MUCH better than pure death metal - usually the same grungy monotonous music (the guitars are so downtuned that you can barely hear a definate change of key) and repetitive lyrics about death or something like that.
