The song is absolutly beautiful. I feel for the girl spoken of in the lyrics (presumably someone named Carrie) though I've never been in a situation like that. The meaning is beautiful, and I love the thoughts she has at the end...

to last person....yes. It's a girl who got pregnant after leaving home under tense circumstances, who went to get an abortion but was disuaded by "the nice christian lady"...and now this girl is driving back home to try to salvage relations with her family and ..... reveal her predicament.

It was so popular that I used to hate this song.
But as time goes by, I have become to love it so much. And now that I am far away from home and I miss hearing the song.
Vienna Teng sings it well, but I also would like to hear some older versions from decades ago.

this song is gorgeous. it has a beautiful piano accompaniment, and teng sings very fluently. as i have no idea of how chinese is supposed to sound, i can't say whether it was perfect, but it sounded fabulous to me. the song is quite mournful in tune, but has a sort of happy tone in it. subliminal as that tone may be, it is there. the song is, in sound, very sublime, and its translated lyrics are even better.

all in all, i definitely recommend this song to any vienna teng fans, or any who are thinking about purchasing her songs.

A truly deep song with much lines written between the lines..... you have to have been there to know what she's trying to say, and what her heart feels... Its so much more intense than one might realise reading those lyrics...the song speaks of hurt and of love...of lost love...what happens when gravity takes hold of an object - it falls hard and fast...back to reality. I've had the law of gravity carved on me, when you realise your hopes for someone, the things they said, the things they didnt say all are suddenly faced with the reality of the situation...Gravity.
