Matt Bennett, known as Robbie Shapiro.
Matthew H. “Matt” Bennett is an American actor and writer. He is best known for playing the role of Robbie Shapiro in the Nickelodeon sitcom, Victorious. Bennett began his acting career with an appearance in one episode of the Comedy Central sketch comedy series Michael & Michael Have Issues as Greg the Intern.
Bennett currently co-stars as Robbie Shapiro in the Nickelodeon sitcom, Victorious. He co-wrote a short film, Text Me, with Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir in 2010. He also starred in The Virginity Hit, released in September 2010. Described as a “documentary style comedy,” Bennett stated in an interview that the film’s “directors gave us cameras in our spare time, and he said do pranks, talk amongst yourselves, do things and film that. So we did, and most of the movie is what we filmed. So I feel like 20% is scripted but the rest is all real.”
The Virginity Hit was produced by Funny or Die founders Will Ferrell and Adam McKay; in a recent interview with MTV News, Bennett stated that reception towards the film has been “been very positive…I’m glad that people are getting that it’s not just another teen sex romp. It’s a film with heart and a bit of a soul and deep-down it’s a cool love story.”
Avan Jogia, known as Beck Oliver.
Avan Tudor Jogia (born February 9, 1992) is a Canadian actor, best known for playing as Beck Oliver on Victorious. Jogia got his first break in acting in 2006, as Danny Araujo in “A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story”, directed by Oscar nomineeAgnieszka Holland.. He appeared in The CW Tv series Aliens in America as the character “Sam”. In 2008 he appeared as Champ on Gym Teacher: The Movie and Tajid in Spectacular, both for the Nickelodeon network. Jogia also portrays Ben Stark in the TV series Caprica a spin-off of Battlestar Galactica on the Sci Fi Channel. Jogia is in the new hit television program Victorious as the character known as “Beck Oliver.” In the show he also dates Elizabeth Gillies character “Jade West,” the bad girl of the show. The show premiered in March, 2010. His upcoming new movie, Finding Hope Now is due to release in 2010.
Elizabeth Gillies, known as Jade West.
Elizabeth Egan Gillies (born July 26, 1993), also known as Liz Gillies, is an Americanactress, singer, and dancer. She is best known for her part in Broadway’s (ended) 13 as Lucy, of which her Victorious co-star, Ariana Grande, was also a part. She currently stars as Jade West on Victorious. Gillies started to appear in commercials with bubble gum and cell phones, and makes one appearance on 1990s Nickelodeon show 6 to 8 Frozen Zone as Melissa. She got roles in The Black Donnellys and Locker 514 which really jump-started her career. She was cast in Harold as a supporting character.
In summer 2008, she was cast as Lucy in a Goodspeed production of Jason Robert Brown’s new musical about growing up, 13. Later that year, 13 moved to Broadway, which made it the first Broadway production to have an all teen cast. She received the two big numbers “Opportunity” and “It Can’t Be True” along with smaller parts in other songs, such as the title song, “Hey Kendra” and “Getting Ready”. 13 was a huge success until its closing in January. She starred in The Clique as Shelby Wexler. On January 4, 2009 13 closed. Elizabeth currently stars in Nickelodeon’s hit TV show Victorious in which she plays Jade West, a main character as well as the antagonist to Victoria Justice’s character. She is based upon being cruel to the high school students. In the Victorious TV movie “Freak The Freak Out” she and co-star Ariana Grande sang a duet with a song called “Give It Up”.
Their duet is set to release on iTunes in early December. During her middle school years, Elizabeth Gillies attended Haworth Public School in her hometown of Haworth, New Jersey. Gillies then attended Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest (otherwise known as NVD) in Demarest, New Jersey before debut.
Daniella Monet, known as Trina Vega.
Daniella Monet (born March 1, 1989) is an American actress, best known for playing various TV guest roles and most recently, starring as Trina Vega, in the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious. Monet was born Daniella Monet Zuvic in West Hills, California. She has performed on the small screen in numerous television commercials beginning at the age of seven. In 1997, she had a guest appearance in an episode of Pacific Blue. In 2003, she landed recurring roles on the television series American Dreams and 8 Simple Rules. She was eventually cast as Megan Kleinman on the short-lived CBSsitcom Listen Up!, where she starred alongside Jason Alexander. She also guest-starred on Zoey 101 as Chase’s ex-girlfriend Rebecca. In 2006, she appeared in the film Nancy Drew and family comedy film Taking 5.
As of 2010, Monet currently co-stars in the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious alongside Victoria Justice as Trina Vega, older sister of Justice’s character Tori Vega.
It was announced on July 2010 that Monet would be joining the cast of the new Nickelodeon film based on their series The Fairly OddParents, A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!. She will be playing the role of the main character’s love interest, Tootie oppositeDrake Bell.
Ariana Grande, known as Cat Valentine
Ariana Grande (born June 26, 1993) is an American actress, model, and singer. She plays the role of Cat Valentine on Victorious. Grande was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. Her older brother is actor-producer Frankie Grande. She studies voice with Eric Vetro. As a child, Grande began performing at Boca Raton’s former Little Palm Theatre for Young People. A few years later, she started to perform in Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater (FLCT).
In 2008, Grande played the role of Charlotte in the musical 13 on Broadway, for which she won a National Youth Theatre Association Award. When she joined the musical, Grande left her high school, North Broward Preparatory School, but continued to be enrolled. The school sent materials to her for study with tutors. She played the role of Miriam in the first reading of the forthcoming musical Cuba Libre composed by Desmond Child. Grande teaches music and dance to children in South Africa each year as a member of “Broadway in South Africa”.
In 2009, she was cast as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon television series Victorious, and dyed her hair red for the role. In 2009 and 2010, Grande performed at Birdland jazz club in New York City with Miranda Sings.
Leon G. Thomas lll, known as Andre Harris
Leon G. Thomas III (born August 1, 1993 in Brooklyn) is an American actor and singer, known for his performances in the Broadway productions The Lion King, Caroline, or Change, and The Color Purple and known for his supporting role in the Nickelodeon sitcom series Victorious as Andre Harris . He appeared in the film August Rush as Arthur performing the song “La Bamba” and was the singing voice for Tyrone in The Backyardigans.
Thomas has also guest starred on Jack’s Big Music Show and Just Jordan. He also appeared as Harper in iCarly Saves TV and was featured on The Naked Brothers Band Christmas Special. He is a main character on Victorious, playing André, which premiered on Nickelodeon on March 27, 2010. He also has a YouTube channel called leonthomasmusic. He posts videos of songs he wrote, including “I Wish”, “I Like That Girl”, “So Sick”, “Slo Jam” and “Start With Me”. Thomas’ song “Dream” plays in the episode of Zoey 101 titled “Michael Loves Lisa”, when Michael is trying to impress Lisa. He is good friends with Victorious co-stars Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande.
Victoria Justice, known as Tori Vega.
Victoria Justice (born February 19, 1993) is an American actress and singer. She is best known for playing the roles of Tori Vega on Victorious and Lola Martinez on Zoey 101. Justice was born February 19, 1993, in Hollywood, Florida to Serene and Zack Justice. She is of Puerto Rican descent on her mother`s side, and of Irish descent on her father`s. Her family moved from Hollywood, Florida, to Los Angeles when she was 11 so she could pursue acting. She has a stepfather named Mark.
Justice has guest starred on several television series including Gilmore Girls and Everwood. She played “Rebecca” on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody in the episode “The Fairest of Them All”. She had roles in the films Mary, When Do We Eat?, Silver Bells, The Garden, and Unknown. Justice`s first major role came in 2005 on the series Zoey 101. Justice played Tammi Dyson in Nickelodeon`s original movie, Spectacular!. She also had a supporting role in the feature film, The Kings of Appletown, starring Dylan and Cole Sprouse. Also in 2009, she guest starred on The Naked Brothers Band, in the iCarly episode “iFight Shelby Marx”, and on True Jackson, VP. In 2010, Justice appeared in one episode of The Troop.
The Orlando Sentinel reported in August 2008 that Justice had signed a talent deal with Nickelodeon. The series, Victorious, takes place in a performing arts high school and revolves around Justice`s character Tori Vega as she pursues a singing career. It premiered on March 27, 2010 to 5.7 million viewers, making it the second biggest premiere for a live action series in Nickelodeon history.
