Versus Terminus Lyrics - In Flames

Review The Song (2)

When all is said and done
We'll know what's right what's wrong
But does it matter then when all is said and done?

When all is dead and gone
We know who lost who won
But does it matter then when all is dead and gone?

See everything go
End of all things
The life that we know

Shift your point of view
You've been warned
This one way ticket is for you

When all the lights go out
We'll know what life's about
But does it matter then when all the lights go out?

When all the laughter dies

We'll see nothingness and realize
But does it matter then when all the laughter dies?

See everything go
End of all things
The life that we know

Shift your point of view
You've been warned
This one way ticket is for you

When all the laughter dies
We'll see nothingness and realize
But does it matter then when all the laughter dies?

See everything go
End of all things
The life that we know

Shift your point of view
You've been warned
This one way ticket is for you

i didn't really like how the other dude explained the question stanzas...he just explained one of em and it doesn't work for the other ones in my opinion anyway. in "when all is dead and gone we'll know who lost who won,..." its like who cares what we know, everythings gone, the knowledge we obtained wasn't worth destroying everything. and "when all the lights go out..." its like, its pretty similar to the last one, you don't know what something is or means until you've lost it and at that point it doesn't matter what you learned because it's over.

This song is genius, perfectly composed with good music, good screaming, melodies, etc.

The song's message is also a good one, with the quote:

"Shift your point of view
You've been warned
This one way ticket is for you"

The first line is self-explanitory, then they warn you, life is a one-way trip. If you worry about things, and see things in a strange perspective, you'll regret it, and they're warning you.

All the 'questioning' stanza's are just basically asking, i.e - did you need all the laughter to die before realizing that there was nothingness?

Great song......In Flames We Trust!
