Nirvana Verse Chorus Verse Lyrics

Last updated: 05/31/2014 04:11:27 AM

Neither side is sacred
No one wants to win
Feeling so sedated
Think I'll just give in
Taking medication
Till my stomach's full
Neither side is sacred
Crawling in the hole
The grass is greener
Over here
You're the fog that
Keeps it clear
Re-inventing
What we knew
Taken time is
All but true
You're the reason
I feel pain
Feels so good to
Feel again

Neither side is sacred
No one wants to win
Feeling so sedated
But I can't give in
Taking medication
Till my stomach's full
Feelin so sedated
When I'm in my home

The grass is greener
Over here
You're the fog that
Keeps it clear
Re-inventing
What we knew
Taken time is
Weird but true
You're the reason
I feel pain
Feels so good to
Feel again

this song breaks my heart | Reviewer: kid hayabusa | 5/30/14

i recently read love and death and courtney love blatantly had kurt killed, she planted a suicide trail, read the book its obvious, also when kurt asked for those flowers for unplugged and the producer said like a funeral? and kurt said yeah like a funeral he meant this as a funeral for nirvana as he had already decided to quit, not a funeral for himself as most people think, i love nirvana and always thought kurt had killed himself but reading the love and death book has opened my eyes, if your a fan of kurt or his music give the book a read and make your own mind up, thank you tom grant

I think the song is about how kurt doesn't want to break. Up with courtney. He had to break her up, coz she's hurting him, she's poison, she's controlling him. But kurt still loves her. And he's afraid of getting hurt emotionally.he didn't want to lose her. That's why he'd rather be hurt with her, than live the days without her. "You're the reason I feel pain, feel so good to feel again"

This song isn't about drugs, in a true sense. Like he is says, "medication". Cobain had a chronic problem with his stomach. He was the most time of his life in pain. Thats also the reason why he was so skinny and wears the most time 2 pants and 3 shirt and so on.

Don't matter none | Reviewer: Watchamacallit | 6/7/12

It doesn't matter who killed Kurt because in the end, Kurt is still dead. And for all the books and articles online, remember: anyone can write a book and I've posted many things online that aren't true.

This is definitely a bunch of bullshit. These are not the "Verse Chorus Verse" lyrics, which ultimately makes this entire discussion forum a bunch of crap. Period. Stay alive. Keep breathing. Research Henry Rollins' and John Lydon's opinions on Kurt's death. It will get better.

Then there were two | Reviewer: Kiwi | 3/27/11

It's strange people are arguing about all kinds of things here, but few are realizing that there's confusion due to the titles and renamings. Vs chorus Vs aka Sappy showed up on a compilation for AIDS benefit as a hidden track. I remember buying it on cassette when it came out. That was 93, I believe. It's a great piece of music. BUT an earlier song Nirvana did, called In his Hands was also called Vs Chorus Vs. The lyrics to that one are what you see above. All this internet bickering, name calling, and condescension is truly nauseating. If you found what you really were meant to do in life, you would not waste time this way. You'd be drawing, making music, working with the sick, programming a life changing piece of software. I just don't get my fellow Americans/humans or this planet most days. G'day to anyone who needed this tidbit of info! :)

This is one of my favorite Nirvana songs. I think that part of the reason that I like it is because it has a ton of feeling in it and sounds really down to earth and from the heart. I read some other comments and the guy who said that these lyrics were inaccurate in my opinion has his head up his butt when it comes to Nirvana. This is a very Kurt Cobain song and is a work of art, like all of the songs Nirvana has made, although I would have liked to hear this song in "In Utero". I really like what end of the music said and I totally argee, Nirvana and Kurt Cobain should be appreciated for their music and I don't worry about how Kurt Cobain died. Also I like the Nietzche quote he posted.

Meaning | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/18/10

This song is about how Cobain took so much drugs that he felt numb but him fighting with Courtney at home made him feel again and he is thanking her for that. He was so fucked up at that time the only reality he had was his disagreements with her. That's sad. Poor guy.

music NEVER is too old. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/22/10

I'm 15, and Nirvana's my all time favorite band, no joke. I would kill to meet Kurt, Dave, and Krist more than anything, or go to "Unplugged in NY." Too bad my parents didn't get hornier earlier, huh? Anywho, Nirvana's amazing and they'll never fucking die.

great music | Reviewer: the end of music | 1/5/10

this is for all the so called "kids" who are apparently "too young" to appreciate Nirvana.

Great music transcends time and all of its generations.

Look at Floyd and Zepplin just as an example.

I am 29 years old now. I grew up in the middle of Nirvana, STP, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone(before Pearl Jam)

I absolutely love Floyd and Zepplin, all the way to Alice Cooper to Elton John.

I was not alive at the time to ever get to see any of the great bands of the 60's or 70's, but I feel as connected to them as much as the music I grew up with.

Most important it is to share the significance that it has made in so MANY lives.

The one constant they all share is their willingness to transmit the experiences of the past undimmed to the future generations.

PS-
Don't turn Kurt's death into the same bauble that Elvis's death has become.

Don't distort the timeless music with JFK conspiracy theory.

PSS-
(just a little note)
Verse,Chorus,Verse was the original title of
"In Utero"
It's a band joke on themselves making fun of the repetitive way they were churning out songs.

"The earth has music for those who listen"
-Shakespeare

“Without music life would be a mistake.”
-Nietzsche

To those off point... | Reviewer: Kyle | 10/22/09

Quit yer' bitchin. Don't strive to be a "die hard nirvana fan," they're just a band. There's plenty of other bands that kick ass as well. The whole "suicide/murder conspiracy" isn't really what's important. I for one have no clue, but it's easier to think that he did it. I know what it's like to be a drug addict, and tolerance can push a person's ability to hold it pretty well. Heroin is a god-like drug, but I mean it's possible he shot up to go out in bliss. That's what I like to imagine. Before you criticize me, think, at least I'm just thinking something positive since there really is no truth, and there's no solid, verified evidence of anything but that he was killed by his own hand. Otherwise they'd have probably found it. So, fuck the entire thing, believe what you want, just please for the love of the band shut the fuck up, and enjoy your favorite tunes by them.

I adore Nirvana, and Kurt Cobain. I have not decided whether or not his death was a murder or a suicide. I'm still researching. But all I have to say is... the boy singing this song doesn't sound the same as the man who gave up on him.

1.52 mg/liter. thats the methodone level that was in his blood buddy. he would have been out cold in a matter of seconds. good luck taking the needle out, putting it away, rolling down the sleeve, setting up the shotgun, and pulling the trigger in a matter of seconds. Love & Death : The Murder of Kurt Cobain. read it.

To kev | Reviewer: Miguel | 9/16/09

LOL, stupid people still think it was a "murder". I love Nirvana's music and Kurt is my musical idol, but I am way past the stage of blaming others, he killed himself. On the song, good song, the cut from the box set is cool, it's obviously presented as a semi rough cut but I can see they could have gone with it. In no way a "hit", but I love it because of that.

i am a courtney hater and i won't stfu. kurt cobain was in no way suicidal buddy. and the only thing she did that made him happy was have his child. SHE didn't make him happy. his daughter made him happy. she was the greedy, jealous bitch that caused his death. and there's no way in HELL it was suicide.
