I have loved this song ever since I heard it played on Steve Lamaqs Evening Session on Radio One in the very early 90's. It is in a completely different style to Primal Screams other work in a very similar way that Sally Cinnamon was for the Stone Roses. Whereas Sally Cinnamon was only a precursor to what the Roses went on to do Velocity Girl was and still remains in my eyes Primal Screams finest moment. There is even a band named after this song, that is the finest testament you can have for a simple song. I mean its only 1minute 30 seconds ish and is as near to a perfect pop song you can get.
