I was feeling pretty aweful as nothing that day had gone right and I was still realing from the shock I recieved upon finding out a good friend of mine is dying of a fatal illness. Naturally, looking for some solace, I turned to my local Christian rock station and this song happened to be playing. While this song may not be the best example of the musical talent of Jars of Clay (I didn`t feel a few chords were best suited for the mood of the song), lyically this song is a triumph. It helps put misery and suffering in a very real persprective, not the `everything is always wonderful, glory to God, its not really that bad, feel I get from a lot of contemporary music. At the same it provides an excellent image of hope, that we as people can do nothing but throw ourselves at the feet of Christ and pray that he carry us through our times of trail. It is a wonderfully humbling song that provides real hope in times of real anguish. I would recomend this song to anyone who is going through a rough spot in their lives and needs to feel understood.
