In 2013, music has been over-run by pop synth-vibes and auto-tuned vocals. While this is the trend today, there are still music fans that appreciate raw, sultry vocals, true instrumentation and innate spirituality in their music. In keeping with his mission to share real soul music, Urban Mystic is ready to touch the masses with “Love Intervention,” his fourth official album on SoBe Entertainment.

As a Fort Lauderdale-born Minister’s son, Urban Mystic, or “Urb” as his friends call him, takes a progressive approach to creating music that is well received across genres and generations. He galvanizes R&B, Hip Hop and Classic Soul beautifully and effortlessly, without losing his gospel roots.

Urban Mystic hit the national scene in 2004 with his KayGee-produced hit single “Where Were You?” which quickly resonated at urban radio. The video for the song enjoyed rotation at BET, MTV Jams, and hundreds of video outlets. The popularity of “Where Were You” from his debut album Ghetto Revelations established Urban Mystic as a vocalist to be reckoned with.

His selection as the 2004 Miami Music Award’s “Best New Artist” was early proof of Urban Mystic’s bright future. He followed with the 2005 single “It’s You” featuring Paul Wall, and released Ghetto Revelations II in 2006, garnering even more attention for his stellar vocals.

The third installment of the Ghetto Revelations saga, GRIII: Old School 2 Nu Skool, released in April 2009, offered longtime fans tunes like “Obama: A Change Has Come,” “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop,” “Spread Your Wings,” “2 Good 2 B True” and “Best Part of the Day.” He also brought in new fans with radio-friendly tracks like “Main Squeeze” with Yung Joc and “I’m So Fly” featuring Reggae giants Ce’Cile and Beenie Man.

With “Love Intervention,” Urban Mystic is taking the stance “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” And this time around, Urb is taking on more of the producing and writing. “The industry and everybody will get a chance to see what’s on my heart and mind,” he beams.

Urban Mystic’s powerful ballad and first single off “Love Intervention,” called “In The Morning,” features MDMA, also known as the multi-talented writer/producer Pooh Bear. Urban Mystic and Pooh Bear have teamed successfully in the past, and have several tracks together on the upcoming “Love Intervention” album. “In The Morning” is indicative of the style 25-year-old Urban Mystic plans to bring to fans this time around – more stellar slow jams with life-inspired lyrics.

Much more than just a singer, Urban Mystic’s multidimensional talents reach beyond his raspy, Southern-style vocals. He writes, plays piano and utilizes his distinctive rap/sing delivery to his full advantage. Those who have witnessed Urban Mystic’s live show can attest to his charismatic, soulful flow, especially when accompanied by his eight-piece band.

In the past year, Urb has performed tracks from his first three albums to a variety of audiences across the country, and is assured that his movement will continue strongly with “Love Intervention.”

“Love Intervention,” the fourth and final installment of Urban Mystic’s Ghetto Revelations album series is scheduled to hit streets on April 16th, 2013. The album includes the hit single “Money Is My Wife” featuring rappers Jadakiss, Styles P, and Bun B as well as the singles “Name On It” and “I Promise” which are both currently Top 10 at Urban/AC radio.

“I want people to know that years later I’m still me,” Urban Mystic professes. “If you don’t know me by now, I want you to know that I’m going to keep that soul music coming. I get questioned a lot about whether I’ll do anymore up-tempo club records, and I will eventually. I’m a chameleon with my work, and I want to give the people what they want. The sky is not the limit with Urban Mystic!”
