Unnamed Feeling Lyrics - Metallica

Review The Song (44)

Been here before
Been here before
Been here before
Been here before

Been here before
Been here before

Been here before couldn't say I liked it
Where do I start writing all this down
Just let me plunge you into my world
Can't you help me be un-crazy

Name this for me, heat the cold air
Take the chill off of my life
And if I could I'd turn my eyes
To look inside to see what's coming

It comes alive
It comes alive
It comes alive
And I die a little more
It comes alive
It comes alive
It comes alive
Each moment here I die a little more
Ooh, i die i die i die a little more

Then the unnamed feeling
It comes alive
Then the unnamed feeling
Takes me away

Been here before
Been here before
Been here before
Been here before

Been here before
Been here before

I'm frantic in your soothing arms
I cannot sleep in this down filled world
Found safety in this loneliness
But I cannot stand it anymore

Cross my heart hope not to die
Swallow evil, ride the sky
I lose myself in a crowded room
You fool, you fool, it'll be here soon

It comes alive
It comes alive
It comes alive
And I die a little more
It comes alive
It comes alive
It comes alive
Each moment here I die a little more
Ooh, i die i die i die a little more

Then the unnamed feeling
It comes alive
Then the unnamed feeling
Treats me this way
And I wait for this train
Toes over the line
Then the unnamed feeling
It takes me away, it takes me

Then the unnamed feeling
It comes alive yeah
Then the unnamed feeling
Takes me away
Yeah, it takes me away

Get the fuck out of here
I just wanna get the FUCK away from me
I rage, I glaze, I hurt, I hate
I hate it all, why why why me?

I cannot sleep with a head like this
I wanna cry, I wanna scream
I rage, I glaze, I hurt, I hate
I wanna hate it all away

Then the unnamed feeling
It comes alive
Then the unnamed feeling
Treats me this way
Then I wait for this train
My toe the ro... o'er the line, yeah
Then the unnamed feeling
Takes me away, yeah it takes me away

Then the unnamed feeling
It comes alive
Then the unnamed feeling
Takes me away

Frantic CDs | Reviewer: Rick | 7/5/13

If you like St. Anger, or if you are a Metallica fan that want to give it a try, pick up "Frantic" It's a 2 disc set of Metallica doing a live rehersals of ever song on St. Anger. It is even better then the original, More raw, more powerful. "Frantic" also has some killer live tracks as well. A definite must for any Metallica fan.

Feelings | Reviewer: Metaldude | 6/15/13

One of the theme songs i have. I have depression and anger and hate because of memories of that some happend when i was bullied some years ago and i feel lonely and unloved. Songs like this help me pretty much.

everything | Reviewer: wheeler | 3/31/13

i cannot describe how much this song means to me personally. it takes you through the worst feeling you've ever felt in your entire life and pulls you through like a life-changing event never even happened. it is not the most musically impressive metallica song, but the lyrics for it are some that i feel like any band would kill to write, but are overlooked just because it's a metallica song.

Much like a few other people here, this song really stood out to me on a personal level. I've always liked this song, but never really properly read the lyrics till now. It basically just speaks to everyone who's having troubles with emotions and says "you're not the only one who's feeling this dude". It's probably one of Metallica's best in terms of lyrics. It's just so deep and comforting at the same time. There's a good reason Metallica are the godfathers of metal; their music is inspiring to all and can actually help people with what their feeling. Top song, top album, top band!

deep enough to actually help a walking chaos of feelings. | Reviewer: james | 6/4/12

The first time i heard this song, i was about 13-14, and i dident realy know what the song ment. as i grew older, i started to read the lyrics, and i understood what the song could mean to one another.
some years later, and now, i have played this song over and over, trying to understand the message they wanna send out, while i am strugling with alot of feelings. i dont know how to feel my own feelings, and i dont know how to get them out in a healty way. but with this song, it is easyer for me. i feel like i am capable of sorting out my feelings, and that i can actually do something with them, the bad thing is that i never remember how to do it. sorry for my bad english, cus i am from Norway!

The hand that i held | Reviewer: octet | 4/13/12

Back in 2003 when St. Anger was released.. i was 11.. a year before i had lost my mom, and i had lost a very close friend..
The loss had a deep impact on my mind... i also started having anxiety problems... i was royally fucked...
and then by coincidence, i heard this song... and it felt as if i was hugged and told "its ok dude.. relax.. i know how you feel"... this song is like a sedative... this song (which also happens to be my inductor into the metallica universe) was like a the hand that i held when i didnt know how to walk...
thanks james.. thanks so much for making this song.. you LITERALLY saved my life <3

The most played album in my collections | Reviewer: Mo | 7/20/11

I can't believe I hated this album in the past. Cause I never listened to it and hadn't watched the movie, some kind of monster. Every song in this album is meaningful and can be touched by everyone without limits, no matter how you feel at that moment. Great one Metallica, keep it goin...

When I first heard this song, (which was with the video clip) I actually cried. I had a lot of bad in my life at the time. Who would have thought that James could write such deep and meaningful lyrics?
Not that it's implied in the song, but anybody who has/had/felt depressed would feel these lyrics.
This song actually makes me feel happy. I can let out all my anger and emotions when I listen to this.
I couldn't thank Metallica, and especially James, enough for this song.

one of the best | Reviewer: chester | 6/26/11

one of the best metallica songs of all time. i would never go as far as saying i hate or ever hated this album(St Anger) but it has a very different sound and feeling to other metallica albums. those that have seen the movie some kind of monster would know why this album has the sound and the feeling that it produces. i very troubled time for the band would be an understatement. i have all of metallica's albums but i always play this album the most. the whole album is so raw and emotional and after watching the movie you get a real appreciation for how close metallica came to splitting up. i really think this song sums up just who the band was feeling and how low they were at that particular point in time. just my opinion but great song

Love this song | Reviewer: Kizi | 5/26/11

I used to hate this album, but that was before i really listened to it. I just saw how everybody else hated it and i listened a little bit and didn't like it. Later, I gave it a chance and now I love it, especially this song. We all know this feeling he's singing about.

How sweet are you | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/17/11

the lyrics are about a feeling that is never actaulyl described, just felt. So he put it into words, i wanna cry, i wanna screa, i wanna hate it all away..everyone knows this feeling. no one else brought it up so thanks to the het for that and he actually i think was talking about Lars and Bob rock in this song, because the tensions lars and james had for years

awesome | Reviewer: Cameron | 9/30/10

i think that anyone can relate to this song in some way or another. i am a guitar player so St. Anger is not my favorite (no solos) but i have a lot of appreciation for this album and especially it's lyrics.

Mindblowing song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/21/10

This is one of the greatest songs metallica ever made. And st. Anger is the best album. I don't understand how metal lovers can dislike it. Metallica should be worshipped after this album. I hope it makes another album of this kind.

WHY? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/7/10

Why is everyone hating St. Anger? It is a fucking great album!
Of course, this song is one of the best Metallica made in the 2000s.
Great lyrics.

I have concluded: There is no bad Metallica song! Ok, some are better than others, but they are all at least good!

In fact, St. Anger is one of my favorite Albums, it is good to listen to when youre stressed, annoyed, scared, agressive or sad.
Metallica For the win!
