Review about UNDER HEAVY MANNERS (Fripp/Byrne) Jism | Reviewer: Haig | 10/26/2007 In the psycho-crazed intellectual art rock daze, Robert Fripp and David Byrne regularly surprised and satisfied with essential stimulation. Yet, they seemed a world apart, Byrne hitting beats that Fripp never touched; Fripp clicking and tricking guitar that buzzed and rocked. It seemed that whenever Fripp allowed drums to play a hard beat, his guitar playing with it just amazed, leaving us laughing, jumping, thinking fast and even dancing. We don't know where or how we got hold of this track, and to this day our few friends in-the-know refer to it as "The Jism Song"! The innovative use of one word lines of lyrics are statements in themselves, copied by several artists to follow including INXS, and of course the Talking Heads. Whoever posted these lyrics must understand these thoughts and hopefully it reminds you of how wonderful it was to attend college in a n environment such as Ann Arbor, MI.
