Tripping Lyrics - Robbie Williams

Review The Song (14)

First they ignore you
Then laugh at you and hate you
Then they fight you
Then you win
When the truth dies very bad things happen
They're being heartless again

I know it's coming and there's going to be violence (Want you to love me)
I've taken as much as I'm willing to take (Want you to be)
Why do you think we should suffer in silence? (Heaven's above me)
When a heart is broken there's nothing to break (Eternally)

You've been mixing with some very heavy faces
The boys have done a bit of bird
They don't kill their own
And they all love their mothers
But you're out of your depth son have a word

I know it's coming and there's going to be violence (Want you to love me)

The heart is broken there's nothing to break (Eternally)

All is wonderful in past lives
Dreaming of the sun she warms,
You should see me in the afterlife
Picking up the sons of dust

When you think we're lost we're exploring
What you think is worthless
I'm adoring
You don't want the truth the truth is boring
I've got this fever, need to
Leave the house
Leave the car
Leave the bad men where they are
I leave a few shells in my gun
N' stop me staring at the sun....

I know it's coming and there's going to be violence (Want you to love me)
I've taken as much as I'm willing to take (Want you to be)
Why do you think we should suffer in silence? (Heaven's above me)
The heart is broken there's nothing to break (Eternally)

A Good Song | Reviewer: Lee Emmott | 7/27/11

LYRICS is really bad on this song, 1st you can't hear what Robbie is saying in some sections of this song you need to look them up to understand what he is saying because of the background music cuts his voice off.

It's like he wants to know a answer from a question that he keeps asking in this song.

Anyway I like this song Iam into the background music of it most of the time and ending is super when the music keeps going after he sing the song.

second voice | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/28/10

Hello. Does anybody knows what the second voice says in the chorus?

I know its coming theres gonna be violence (Want you to love me)
I've taken as much as I'm willing to take (Want you to leave)
Why do you think we should suffer in silence? (The hell falls above me)
When a heart is broken there's nothing to break (Its time to leave)???

Does it says so?...

wow | Reviewer: 777 | 6/18/09

no wonder every 1 tried 2 discredit him after this song... but thats what happens when u stand up against the new world order,... (First they ignore you
Then laugh at you and hate you) .... (I know it's coming there's going to be violence) WW3,food riots, civil war... (I've taken as much as I'm willing to take
Why do you think we should suffer in silence?)
speaking out against them ... (Leave the house, leave the car
Leave the bad men where they are
I'll leave a few shells in my gun
And stop me staring at the sun)...
leaving all matieral things behind except a gun 4 protection. Also the sun(in most cultures is the symbol of the devil). stop me staring at the devil, temptations... Also it refurs 2 the countless cover ups Which have led us into this unstabble century (When the truth dies very bad things happen) JFK, the west funding hittler 2 create the U.N, Afganastan war 2 build oil pipelines through it and all the other things the news will never tell you,

(But you're out of your depth son have a word)...
the conspricy's so big and it goes deep eg. goverments, UN, NATO...
lol i don't think robbie writ this song it's on another level but watever, people will defently try and disprove, joke and hate this comment but then ur just proving the song right... (First they ignore you
Then laugh at you and hate you) but until the 2nd american civil war and WW3 when they abolish free speech I'm gunna keep wakin u fools up. so hey, keep safe, don't listen to sun worshipping Artists ie. reanna, jay z, lil wanye, or the goverment press and peace out...

Tripping The Light Fantastic | Reviewer: Tony | 7/14/07

It is so interesting to read reviews...You can't please everyone & it is so subjective.I didn't quite know what to make of this song when I first heard it.I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. That is my point. It made me think. Now after playing it 100's of times, I love this song. I now sing it with my band & it really goes off at parties. They can't get enough of it.What ever you might think of Robbie Williams at least he is not afraid to have a go at something different...T.

Great | Reviewer: Kimmi | 11/18/05

I always love Robbies songs. This time it took a few listenings to start loving it. But real songs need more listenings, it'll be worth it. ^^

ANOTHER GREAT | Reviewer: Jo | 10/30/05

Robbie is a powerful as ever and a lyrical genious...a fantastic album. If you like his other work....what am I mad? Of course you like his other work SO YOU WILL LOVE THIS!

Hmmm.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/7/05

Speaking impartially as every good reviewer should, I can honestly say that this is clearly Robbie's weakest material yet.

Stylistically speaking, this barely even touches reggae... so RW, having an occasional ringing snare and some syncopated chords classifies your material as reggae huh? Think again, son.
Lyrically speaking, this is gibberish. Mind you, after the material from Robbie's last efforts, there is a very slight improvement. That stuff was total throw-away rubbish.
How can I be so slanderous? Well folks, I've been a musician all my life and have a list of qualifications as long as my arm, but that isn't why. It's because I actually listen to music, listen to lyrics, and when you hear good songcrafting you damn well know it. Try some Neil Young, Elvis Costello, 70s era Pink Floyd - then you'll know what real songwriting is all about.

Don't delude yourselves people, this is mediocre pop-trash.

Oldie? | Reviewer: Annemarie Munter | 10/6/05

Same here, I also thought / think it's an existing song.
But that doesn't mean it isn't superbe!!

possible all time classic? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/23/05

first time I heard it, I was not sure if it was him, actually it reminded me of the 80's classics rock tunes Police used to write. anyway, he could not release a better song at this time. I think it is going to be an all-time classic like "feel". hope u enjoy it! it is very moving
