Travis Tritt was born on February 9,1963 in
Marietta,Georgia to James Tritt, a bus driver and former
farmer, and Gwen Tritt, bookkeeper and homemaker.

He fell in love with music as a child, teaching himself how
to play guitar when he was eight and beginning to write
songs when he was 14. Travis was determined to have a
musical career, but his parents didn't encourage him to
follow his instincts. His mother didn't mind that he wanted

I was sitting at home watching a sappy movie ad remembered this song from years ago. I couldn't remember the first verse and looked it up. This song reminds me that there are bad moments when you feel lonely, and it seems like there is nobody else to walk through the loneliness with me. But a part in there says Oh God please have mercy. it reminds me there is a plan and God will guide and direct me. My fiancee passed away suddenly in May of this year (2008). One night, when I was missing him particularly badly, a string of coincidences (and I firmly believe there aren't any) led me to be sitting in my car just as this song came on. It was as if Mike dedicated this song to me - he left too early and always loved me with the best of intentions. This will forever be "our song."
