Trans-Siberian Orchestra Lyrics

Trans-Siberian Orchestra was formed in 1996 by Paul O'Neill
who immediately approached long time friends and
collaborators Robert Kinkel and Jon Oliva to form the core
of the writing team.

While producing and writing for a number of years with
various rock groups Paul was always looking for ways to
make the music have greater and greater emotional impact.
He tried to write the music that was so melodic it didn't
need lyrics. And lyrics that were so poetic that they
didn't need music but once you put the two of them
together, the sum More...

------ About the song Christmas Canon performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I walked down the aisle to this song! I wanted the whole choreographed so it could play the whole way through. So when they chant/sing "merry Christmas merry Christmas..." I had my ring bearer and flower girl dance, jump, twill whatever their little hearts felt content doing during this part. Then the instruments kick in and my daughter was pulled down the aisle on a big sleigh...and when the Chiou starts to sing I started down the staircase. Me and my dad still get a little teary eyed when we here it. In a good way. :)

------ About the song Old City Bar performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra

This song is very touching. I saw the title and thought, meh... But the song, the lyrics, the music! You really can't judge a book by the cover. I have this song in my head all year round. Christmas is about helping others. That's what give one the nice, good, warm feeling. "To know who needs help, you need only just ask!"

Powerful. | Reviewer: DJ
------ About the song Old City Bar performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra

The fact that this song in itself is slightly grisly and about normal people in a setting one never really thinks about makes this song stand out from the beginning.
And then as you listen to it, it becomes clear that it is about the true miracle of the season: the kindness of strangers. It gives you hope and touches/impacts you in a way no other christmas song can do.
I challenge anyone who listens to this song to do better than the bartender this Christmas season, or at least give a helping hand to a stranger.

A very touching song.

Many would say TSO live is a bucket list 'must see'.

Just an engrossing experience. Read the words; listen to the music. As a fan, I've got them on daily from Nov. 1. Then again in July. Gotta 'make this Christmas thing last.'

I hope you enjoy the music and their show.

------ About the song Christmas Canon performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra

This song possesses Jesus-like qualities that force yourself to jump up and down with glee, simultaneously cry and laugh, while attempting to sing along with the choir (but doing so very unsuccessfully). Anyway, I will have a rockin' time December 29 when TSO comes to Hamilton, ON, at Copps Coliseum. I am the 6th row from the front on the floor level. :) KEEP ON GOING TSO!

Haunting, inspirational, sad. All at once. | Reviewer: Pam
------ About the song Old City Bar performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I love TSO, my husband says they are "over- produced" . I'm right, he's wrong, this is a sad but hopefully song that pulls my heartstrings. And I thought nothing could melt this grinches icy heart.
I have seen TSO live, a must do if you like them. A +++++

A beautiful, breathtaking piece! | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Promises To Keep performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I walked down the ailse to this piece when I got married. The gentle music and the lyrics just seemed so fitting to a December wedding, especially:

"And the dream is still alive
From that first December morning
And it always will survive
As long as we can see
That the dreams that we find in life
Are the dreams we tend to seek
And Christmas has its promises to keep"

A beautiful, breathtaking piece!
