He is free because the weight of the past if off of his shoulders, and he can move forward now with it. The feeling of hopelessness I get from this song makes it euphoric to listen to. The melodic instruments blend well with Pete's melodic vocals. Chevelle is truly a versatile and great band, listen to this song if you haven't heard it. Close your eyes and feel what I feel.
