This is easily one of my favourite songs off of Blooddrunk. I'm not a diehard fan of the band like some but I have noticed the differences in the albums. Personally though, I can't see any negative changes and I can't wait for Relentless Reckless Forever, because it's bound to be kickass :). COBHC forever :D

i agree with jaooooooo and best of the beast. this new stuff doesn't suck, its just different. some people like it more than others, but CoB really did need to change, otherwise they'd have ended up like megadeth, or as best of the beast said, iron maiden; great band, but all they're shit would sound the same. and as for the people saying the guitar solos are shit, have you even tried to play that? its bloody hard!

Dude, the difference between their first three albums and their following three is the neoclassical genre, plus their black metal sound, but they are still kicking ass, I used to HATE their previous album AYDY, it took me a lot of time to appreciate it. And Bloodrunk is a huge step forward for COB, they are more "mature" speaking in musical terms, Alexi is more technical, they are getting better. It's just different in style, but hey, they have the right to change their sound, otherwise you end up having something like Iron Maiden, (dont get me wrong, they rock but their songs are pretty much the same style). People are afraid of change, you dont want Old COB to change because you love it so much, you have to just let it go, COB is STILL TODAY'S BEST METAL BAND, and Alexi Laiho is not the best guitarist: I know Petrucci could kick his ass in many aspects of guitar playing, but what makes Alexi Laiho MY FAVORITE GUITARIST is his style, and he has enough skill and creativity to be considered a "great guitar player"

alexi's vocals on this album are terrible, its turned from proper scrams into a "generic" wail. and his guitar playing isnt that good either, there are many better guitarists out there, dont get me wrong mi not saying hes a bad player, hes just not as good as everyone says. and "blooddrunk" was the album thats was going to "make or break" them and honestly it broke them, and all my METALHEAD friends agree too.

Alexi's just great.. I love cob.. he writes so many awesome riffs.They kick ur ass alsolive..

I may not be right, but in this line "I will climb the rope you tie for me", it sounds more like " I will climb the rope you sacrificed", doesnt it?

who gives a fuck if they're 'melodic death metal' or not?
all these sub genres are shit
it's all metal anyway

and yeah, COB sound different on blooddrunk than say hatebreeder or something wild, but loads of bands change over time
and COB are still fuckin awesome

They are all amazingly talented, and nobody has a right to say Alexi is shit unless they can write awesome riffs and lyrics and play guitar like him and sing/scream at the same time :)

I've been a Children of Bodom fan for about 2 months and I think that their earlier stuff is much better that what they've put out now. However, I don't agree with those people who say that the new stuff sucks. I don't think it sucks, its just different. Its a different style of metal. AYDY is more of like a progressive metal album and Blooddrunk is like a hardcore thrash album. I do miss their melodic death metal days and I believe they need to get back to that. This stuff isn't bad or anything. Just different.

I dont fully understand these lyrics, they arent very good lyrics, but hey, you cant understand what the hell he says unless you read the lyrics anyway. This song (and this album) kicks ass, it is much more death metal than their early stuff, which is more of a death/power metal sound.

Alexi Laiho is one of my most favoured guitarists, and has been since i first heard him.

He not only has kick ass skill that is envyed by millions, but he can write awsome riffs.
He plays so fast, and so brutal, yet he maintains a clear sound, and i thinnk that kicks ass.
Blooddrunk is my second fav album, behind Flollow the reaper and Are you dead yet?.

And i say to those who dis him, ill agree with you if you play like him.
