Review The Song (3)Print the Lyrics
Three hours from sundown
Jeremy flies
Hoping to keep
The sun from his eyes
East from the city
And down to the cave
In search of a master
In search of a slave.

Three hours from London
Jacomo's free
Taking his woes
Down to the sea
In search of a lifetime
To tell when he's home
In search of a story
That's never been known.

Three hours from speaking
Everyone's flown
Not wanting to be
Seen on their own
Three hours is needed
To leave from them all
Three hours to wonder
And three hours to fall.

Three hours from sundown
Jeremy flies
Hoping to keep
The sun from his eyes
East from the city
And down to the cave
In search of a master
In search of a slave.

Review about Three hours

Nick Drake - Three Hours | Reviewer: James | 4/16/09

Nick wrote the song about his friend Jeremy Mason when they went travelling in Aix (France) in the mid/late 60's.

After he wrote the song Nick played it for Jeremy who said "..it's great nick but whats it about.."

nicks apparent reply was "..If you don't know Im not going to tell you."

In love | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/5/08

I am so in love with Nick Drake. I've been listening to him really since Garden State came out--thank you Zach Braff--and I'm definitely in love with him. His music is absolutely incredible. I agree with Mr. O'Reilly in the last comment--everything on "Made to Love Magic" is incredible anyway, and of course the version of "Three Hours" is breathtaking. I miss Nick Drake as well.

Talent that is missed. | Reviewer: Richard O'Reilly | 9/22/06

There are some different versions of this work of art. It is only in the last year that i have listened to Nick Drake. I think you need to listen to the "Made To Love Magic" album with this song. When you hear the flute it will send you in to a trance. I think its hard ever to know the real meaning of a song, unless you ask the person who wrote but even then it will mean something else to you.

this is my humble opinion.
