Yes No Thousand Mile Wish, Romantic song of the Year? | Reviewer: Oswald | 10/12/2004 It's a spectacular song off of Finger Eleven's self titled third album. Most people remember them best right now for their hit "One Thing", their softest song to date, and a very monotonous song at that. This song, is probably their second softest song ever, and reflects the band finger Eleven much better than One Thing does. Thousand Mile Wish is filled with examples of Finger Eleven's creative style, from James Black's amazing guitar riffs, to Rich Beddoe's strong and artistic signature drum sound, to Sean Anderson's slides on his bass, can't forget Rick Jackett who can only truly, and fully be appreciated live. What really has the most going for the song is Scott Anderson's heart felt lyrics. My personal favourite part of this song would be the lyrics in the first chorus. "Can you stay until we close our eyes, till your dreams hold mine, just stay until, we know we tried, one last time." Just speaking for myself, I can relate to this song, as it evolves from beggining to end. Feeling this powerfully for someone.
