Seems to me like this guy is singing about all the bad parts I life. He takes a relaxed approach to the death of "Mrs. Jones'" son- leading me to believe he has kind of given up on life. I think he knew life was sad and so he stopped caring so much. I think he sings about the tragedy of poverty and sadness.

The lyrics are well written and blend smoothly with the up-beat rhythm of the song. I'm assuming the situation is he just had a recent break-up with a girl and he feels like they both are headed in the wrong direction now, perhaps without each other. I believe that he is using crystal as a metaphor for his relationship with a girl. The relationship like meth in the beginning was the best feeling, but as time went on no matter how much they tried, they could not reproduce the same "high" as they felt in the start of their relationship.

I think this song is awesome. Because i thought about ending my life and didn't think about what i would have lost. But in fact i did lose my friends and support just for being me. Now i think back to that and realize that i have a lot more and if i would have made that decision then i wouldn't of had seen how great my friends are and how much they love me. The part in the song that says " i wish you would step back from that ledge my friend." Its touching because it makes me think that because i've been saved. i can save others because i know how it feels to be in that darkness. I love this song!!!!

i think this song is about being in love with drugs! "The worms" are what drug addicts feel when they come down. And the "vampires are the other people that you get high with cause they will "suck" up all your drugs. Addicts dont like to get high alone!
