In the end we tend to think of how it began
I could never explain
The picture painted
And how it made me feel
Now the ceiling is in motion
The light centered and overlooked
You want me to see me disappear? Well so do I.
Well so do I
Such a quiet evaporation
We're nothing but hollow vessels
In search of what makes us alive
I never said this was my revolution
When you looked me in the eye
Oh, how I've walked this white line
So many times before
What a feeble attempt
Just to feel alive
This is for you and all your hopeless case
You never would, you never would
Leave me in your wish to fail every time
Every time I try
Every time you
Talk about it, talk about it
At least it makes you feel something
Inside
Who have I become?
Who have I become?
Oh God, everything, everything
All around me is crumbling at my feet.
Everything, everything
All around me is crumbling at my feet.
I stare, so delicate and ashamed
At the shell I've shed myself from
I stare, so delicate and ashamed
In the eyes, in the eyes of my ghost(This is for you and your hopeless case)
In the eyes, in the eyes of my ghost(This is for you and your hopeless case)
Well, I would never look back
Well, I would never
Well, I would never look back
Again

Doesnt this sound like andrew schwab!? | Reviewer: Dion | 9/20/08
in the beginning of the song it sounds like the lead singer of project 86! WTF? he didnt do guest vocals in this song did he? or did Underoath's singer really sound that similar!? I REALLY THOUGHT it was a P86 song for a minute til' i checked my Ipod.
The where Spencer scream 'Inside' after the part of So talk about it
At least it makes you feel something is the best part EVER!!!, he such a powerful singer. UnderOATH...the BEST band EVER...keep up the good work boys.
Not a weak album. | Reviewer: alyssa | 7/10/08
On the contrary, this album arguably the best one Underoath has released so far (though fans of UO with Dallas won't agree), at least for me. I thought They're Only Chasing Safety had great songs, but they seemed a bit shallow as far as sound goes. And the whole album didn't really come together as one. In Define the Great Line, the sound matured considerably (heavier and more balanced), as did Spencer's scream, and the tracks came together to form somewhat of a story. This is easily one of the best songs on the CD. I think the songs found on Define the Great Line are a lot better and deeper than the ones on They're Only Chasing Safety.
Something that's easier to understand isn't necessarily better than something with a deeper meaning.
Great Song. week album | Reviewer: lostduckstar | 10/22/07
This album is not the best one. But this specific song, is one of the best. It's not great as "Young and Aspiring", or " The Impact of Reason". The problem is the sound distorcion. I don't know about the production, but a thought that the " They're only chasing safety" was much much easier to understand the melody and vocals.
One of the best songs ever | Reviewer: Chasin S. | 6/26/07
Easily one of the best songs ever to be released by Underoath.
THEY ARE ALSO CHRISTIAN, SO AWESOME HARDCORE SOUND, AND ALSO AN UPLIFT TO OUR KING AND LORD OF LORDS JESUS CHRIST. GOD BLESS THIS BAND!!!
I stare, so delicate and amazed... | Reviewer: Shandiggety | 5/26/07
Underoath is, hands down, one of the best fucking bands in the history of sound...
Their lyrics are great.
The music is amazing.
The vocals are to die for.
Oh...my heart hath not loved so much before...
