There's a Place in the World for a Gambler Lyrics - Dan Fogelberg

Review The Song (2)

There's a place in the world
For a gambler
There's a burden that only
He can bear
There's a place in the world
For a gambler,

And he sees
Oh, yes he sees...
And he sees
Oh, yes he sees...

There's a song in the heart
Of a woman
That only the truest of loves
Can release.
There's a song in the heart
Of a woman.

Oh, set it free
Set it free
Oh, set it free.

There's a light in the depths
Of your darkness
There's a calm at the eye
Of every storm.
There's a light in the depths
Of your darkness.

Let is shine
Oh, let it shine
Let is shine
Oh, let it shine
Let is shine
Oh, let it shine.

Let it Shine

GREAT SONG FROM A GREAT SONGWRITER | Reviewer: Dr. Lalhmachhuana | 1/18/14

This song apparently did not get enough airtime but it is nevertheless one of the best songs of Dan Fogelberg. This is one great song with simple lyrics conveying very deep meaning even to the most discerning listener. How I wished Dan had live longer...

Where was I when this came out? | Reviewer: Jill | 8/7/09

Okay, so I was a kid in the seventies. My head was filled with Donny Osmond, quick curl Barbie, and Star wars. However, I've always had an ear for good music, and grew up listening to the radio. Why haven't I heard of this song until I'm in my forties? It's beautiful! It's melodic! It's timeless! Did it not get airplay? So sad! This could have been a contender!
