The Stooges Lyrics
It's almost frighteningly irrelevant at this point in
history to even consider what I'm about to embark on, but
nevertheless I feel it must be said: the Stooges were
perhaps the greatest rock'n'roll group of all time. Groan
all you want - bicker about what a laughably misinformed
(and highly 'unfashionable') opinion that is - I wish to
state my case...
I'll admit, it's taken me a long time to come around to
this conclusion, long enough to make me want to forget.

Review about The Stooges songs

------ About the song 1970 performed by The StoogesThe stooges were the most underated but in it's time. it is a shame they did not have the respect they have now before so they would keep with the amazing job done in their three albuns.

------ About the song Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell performed by The StoogesI graduated high school in 1969 when the Stooges first came on the scene in LA and like most punks at the time, I just didn't get it. The music was too stripped down. I thought it was a con job. I was into Zepplin who had just released their first LP - very baroque. It wasn't until Raw Power, that I actually started to take them seriously, that was late '73 (I'm 58). And I was unusual. The reason I started digging them was a friend who was a groupie. She was an outrageously good looking girl and tough as nails still in high school in LA and she was doing Bowie, "All the English Rock Stars" and she was raving that Iggy Pop was the biggest prize and how all the LA/Hollywood groupies were fighting over him (and Bowie). She was saying they literally punched each other out to get to these guys. God, they must have had a blast. I often wonder what happened to her pretty face... But this song sums it up for me. A classic. And now looking back, the Stooges (and Bowie) were prophets.
1) it's a crying shame... | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell performed by The Stooges... all the pretty girls, they look the same. Yes, well, can't argue with facts.
2) True story: I first heard of this song when I was 14 and my bf broke up with me with the words "your pretty face is going to hell" and a slammed door. I'm still thankful I got something good (like a Stooges addiction) from my first boyfriend :) Most girls get heartbreak or chlamydia.
stonking good track | Reviewer: Kriss
