Metallica The Small Hours Lyrics

Last updated: 11/20/2013 05:22:17 AM

(Originally recorded by Holocaust)

Look hard at the darkness,
And you will see,
Just call my name and I'll be there.
You cannot touch me,
You would not dare,
I am the chill that's in the air.

And I try to get through to you,
In my own special way,
As the barriers crumble,
At the end of the day.

Dark rivers are flowing,
Back into the past,
You are the fish for which I cast.
And what of the future,
What is to be,
As the rivers flow into the sea.

And I try to get through to you,
In my own special way,
As the barriers crumble,
At the end of the day.

Do not take for granted,
Powers out there,
Don't step into the demon's lair.
Time is an illusion,
Rising from dying,
Steep is the mountain which we climb.

And I try to get through to you,
In my own special way,
As the barriers crumble,
At the end of the day,

Awesome Cover Version | Reviewer: James Burns | 11/20/13

All Bands Do Cover Songs But Metallica Has Always Done The Best Cover Versions. They Totally Make The Songs Their own. In Most Cases their Version sounds Better Than The Original, which is Rare.

All good. | Reviewer: Jonathan Ybarra | 2/21/11

The Small Hours is just one of the songs I really love from Metallica. They always continue to keep me happy, no matter what. I just can never live without them screaming through my headphones and into the ears. Haha. I effin love Metallica forever! =D

Oh Yeah!!!!! | Reviewer: Rosario DeSarro | 8/20/10

Anything these guys did ,then and now, was just awesome! It was (and is) a reflection on the talent of this band that they could take a reletively unknown song and turn it into (in my opinion) one of the FINEST thrash metal songs of the '80s.
