The mainstream Renaissance lineup is most well known for
their rich symphonic textures, stunning vocals and poetic
lyrics. They released nine albums evolving and developing
their style from 1972 to 1983, two anthologies and a live
double album. A long-awaited album of rarities and a second
two-album live set were released in the late 1990s. Their
style mixed classical progressions with poetry and blended
it with elements of rock, jazz and folk often embodying
