Review about The Refreshments The One You Should Never Put Down | Reviewer: Falene [:
------ About the album Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy performed by The Refreshments
This CD has made such an imprint in my life. I love this CD so much. I remember listening to it when I was around seven and not completely understanding the lyrics. When Brittany Spears was on the lips of all pre-teen kids, I was singing about JonLuke Bicard (Sp) and how if you give her ten dollars you could get anything that you want... Weird looks were a normal occurance for me to say the least. This CD will forever be a staple of my collection. You should definitely go pick it up, you won't be disappointed. It made me fall in love with music in the first place xD

------ About artist/band The Refreshments
i use to travel to san diego once a year in the late 90's just to get out of phoenix and enjoy the weather and the smell of the ocean , i owned a 73 chevy stepside pick up ,454 bored 2 a 468 , no ac. 200 dollars 4 gas there and back...sometimes i would just pick up late friday nite alone and go...sometimes friends just take to long ..plus there lots of friends with friends in san diego ...so i'm out in san diego on a sunday midday getting ready to head back..i'm at the mall looking 4 a good tape to listen to for the drive back...there was a couple i decided 2 choose from..i forget the other but i pick fizzy fuzzy..something about the names of the songs or maybe i notice they were from tempe ?who knows ...but it was a life changing choice .i listened to it from san diego to phoenix over and over windows rolled down.. no ac ..and i'm sure a cold bud. back in the day it was ok to have a couple of beers and not be a criminal..then when back in phoenix i started going to see their gigs...class act "...until this day and i'm 40 now ..it is still my favorite... not t0p 10 ...number one... .yes i said tape ..which i still have but no tape player..."smile"...

------ About the song Wanted performed by The Refreshments
One of the best Country Rock/Pop songs of the 90's and highly underated. Consumers today are robots, they wouldn't know good music and good old fashioned Rock N Roll if it bit them in the A**. Roger Clyne is a throwback to a fusion of Johnny Cash and Dylan.

------ About the song Mekong performed by The Refreshments
For all of you Refreshments fans, be sad no more! I just heard all the Refreshments classics at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ last weekend as performed by the awesome and amazing Roger Clyne and PH Naffah in their band, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers. They played Mekong at the end of the night and everyone just sang and swayed and smiled and closed out the night of having our souls rocked to the core. Amazing! Go to www.azpeacemakers.com
Excellent Jam!!! Fresh out of Leavenworth. | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Preacher's Daughter performed by The Refreshments
Here is one of the quinnesenntial songs from one of the greatest songwriters of this or any era. The song drips with western sensibility. Whether mentioning Tuscon or Leavenworth, Roger Clyne summons the spirit of the restless and gritty southwest. Please don't miss the humor either as Roger describes the story in his lyrics of a lost lust who married the sherrif who sent him to the famed Kansas all male pennitentiary. Hilarious! The guitar riff is devastating rock and roll and PH Naffah on the drums is as tight and efficient as ever. Long live Roger Clyne and may songs like this reach more and more appreciative good people. ------ About the song Mekong performed by The Refreshments
(sigh) I love the refreshments. I only wish I could have seen them in concert. I didn't really get into these guys until after they had broken up, but this entire album has really stood the test of time in my eyes. My musical tastes have evolved a great deal, but when I can't decide on something newer to listen to, this album is always one of my go to's...
Is this not the cutest song you have EVER heard?? well in my opinion this shows ture love especially for the teen age population. You gotta love it.

------ About the album Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy performed by The Refreshments
This album is, to me, beyond beleif, without doubt my favourite cd in my collection, every single song is good, not like most album these days with 2 or 3 three good songs on it, this 1 has 12 good songs. Banditos is probably the most well known song of them all, that is the song that made me buy this album. And to be really honest i`m glad i did. It is probably wat is considered soft rock, but that is wat makes it so easy listening, and the lyrics are completely understandable, which i think is quite appealling. So in short, if you are into rock music at all, BUY THIS ALBUM! you will not be disappointed.
11 out of 10, it`s that good

The lyrics are dead-on and one of many great songs from Roger Clyne and the Refreshments, the greatest band to ever be dumped by a record label.

Absolutely an amazing album. If it wasn't for Amy (I miss you) I would have never heard of these guys, and that was 8 yrs ago.
