In 1997 six young men in Umeå, Sweden, felt the urge to
start a band. They had all played together before, and knew
each other since way back. However they didn't nurture any
big dreams of stardom and success, as so many other young
men who form bands do. They simply wanted to have fun and
in a humble way try to make the music they wanted, but was
missing, in their record collections.

The Perishers was born. Initially the band rehearsed on
borrowed instruments in a borrowed rehearsal room in a damp
