The One Lyrics - Gary Allan

Review The Song (1)

No rush though I need your touch
I won't rush your heart
Until you feel on solid ground
Until your strength is found, girl

I'll fill those canyons in your soul
Like a river lead you home
And I'll walk a step behind
In the shadows so you shine
Just ask it will be done
And I WILL prove my love
Until you're sure that I'm "the one"

Somebody else was here before
He treated you unkind
And broken wings need time to heal
Before a heart can fly, girl

I'll fill those canyons in your soul

And I will prove my love
Until you're sure that I'm "the one"

Trust in me and you'll find a heart so true
All I want to do is give the best of me to you
And stand beside you

Just ask it will be done
And I WILL prove my love
Until you're sure that I'm "the one"

Until youre sure that I'm "The One" | Reviewer: Cameron | 8/15/2004

This song has had an incredible impact om my love and life,I can't believe at 40 I would find someone so dear that I could dedicate this song to.She cried when she heard it and to tell you the truth, so did I. I found a lady that had been so mistreated in her previous life and was willing to let me in her heart. We have come to that road when we wont to move on but just not quite sure we are ready. I love her so much and would do absolutely nything to tilt the scale, but that tactic will only leave us both miserable down the road. I am giving her the space she needs to grow. I was given that room and in return, I grant it.
