Review The Song (19)Print the Lyrics
Time… rolling along with the waves,
A thousand miles away
Holding you close in the rain,
Seems just like yesterday

Lost… hope in a faraway place
And in my hand remains,
A black and white print of a face,
I’ll never see again

I gave my life to save her
The ocean turned to red
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
Cut down like lambs at slaughter,
Good men were left for dead
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all

Love… certain till death do us part,
I’m drifting in the dark
Wounded and wishing to fall,
Into your faithful arms

I gave my life to save her
The ocean turned to red
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
Cut down like lambs at slaughter,
Good men were left for dead
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all

Beneath the sky of hate,
Beyond the sea of pain,
In heaven I will wait,
Until we meet again

I gave my life to save her
The ocean turned to red
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
Cut down like lambs at slaughter,
Good men were left for dead
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all
In the fall, in the fall, when the tide took them all

Review about The Navy Song

General Topic/ My Oppinion | Reviewer: T34GU3xD | 10/27/09

The song is generally about someone's view on a military ship that was shot down while he was trying to save it and everyone on it died. But one little problem with my oppinion is the first verse/stanza. It sounds like the "you" and "her" words in the song are ship itself. 1, because he was trying to save her, and 2, because what else would you do when your on a ship in the rain but hold on to something. If you think im wrong please email me back, i like to hear others oppinions. AMAZING SONG BTW. RIP brave warriors of the sea and thank you dad for living through it to make me be. Yea, that rhymed xD

I love Billy Talent, and I love this song, but White Sparrows is their saddest song. It's a good sad song. I don't like songs from Kanye West and Katie Perry or Lady Gaga because they don't have meaning. This song is about something. White Sparrows is about death. Sympathy is about being independant, and not pitied. Pocketful of Dreams is about being unafraid of something when you can have something in return, and not being too greedy. Every Billy Talent song was written by Billy Talent, and all the Billy Talent songs mean something personally to Ben Kowalewicz, and the rest of the band.

Great song | Reviewer: sprocks | 8/17/09

I got this whole album few days ago, now im listening to it. it took me some time trying to get used to Ben's voice, but Billy Talent is awesome! this song is just...awesome.
And now i love Ben's voice, btw. Once you get used to it, it's excellent!!

awesome | Reviewer: awesome | 2/26/08

this song is great! billy talent has been my favorite band for years, i think that this song was about Omaha beach, because its talking about everyone being left for dead and the tide taking them away, and it just reminds me of what happened on Omaha beach, because people were basically slaughtered

D-day references? | Reviewer: woot | 1/31/08

I think that this song is about soldiers being sent to fight. I think that it refers to perhaps freedom in a broader sense - this mans love is just a sign of the freedom that he is fighting for and is willing to lay his life down for.

rock it out | Reviewer: lies are forever | 1/18/08

love this song it so cooool. its so sad thet i cried the first time i heard it. btw i only cried because one of my family members died. i thought that this was about a man who died trying to save his wife. not that there was a war going on. but its still the best ever

navy or fall? | Reviewer: JustI | 12/2/07

Imagine | Reviewer: miisa | 9/16/07

this reminds my of titanic ;D even thought titanic has nothing to do with the navy :D

^^^oh very nice for you, johnny. im soooo jealous ;D

Theme? | Reviewer: EJ | 6/19/07

the theme of this song is about a massacre that happened when an enemy army invaded another country and the home country counter-attacked with a pincer attack(both sides). They were then all killed at both sides turning the sea red and the surrvivers were washed away at sea because of the strong tide.

Other than that an awsome song that is now one of my favs!!!!!! EJB (AUSTRALIA)
