I love this song and would love to sing it in karaoke, but I just find it clever/amusing/etc that a blind guy would write a song littered with references to seeing, looking, eyes, etc.

The first time I heard this song was in 1989 when my boyfriend back then played it for me. Before the song came on he told me this is how he felt about me. We had been together for 3 weeks then. When I heard it my first thought was 'OMG he loves me'. Although, he didn't tell me he loved me until 9 months later. He insisted on having it be our 1st dance together when we got married. We will be celebrating 23 years together and almost 21 years of marriage. We never get tired of listening to this song.

I played this song on my guitar and sang it for my wife on her birthday a few weeks ago. This song describes perfectly how I feel about her, because she literally could have anyone she wants, but for some reason she ended up with a clown like me. Everytime I hear or play it, it almost brings me to tears because it reminds me of my loving, beautiful wife!

Lovely song...but I must comment to Annaliza's comment. The man she talks about is my husband. He was in Korea and as most americans, torn apart at leaving his wife and children. The girls in the bars are prositutes, they sell themselves for a green card. You are the low life that persued my husband and planned every step of your peruit, we don;t feel sorry for you, we feel aot but not pity. You never stpooed your evil plan, even to the point of 24/7 contact through your vile computer, h couldn't sllep, think or even consider his children, you are the dregs of humanity, you are the sole filth that we all know about but prey, our men will have the strenght to avoid. Mine wa weak, mising me and his children, you took that and tried to take what was not yours. What you didnt know was that I am not a weak person myelf, I am an english women and we are different... take a look on my FB, I am not a pushover..you never stood a chance against me... I have so much you could never dream of... stop whoring and get yourself a proper career... you will never find what you want with other womens husbands no matter how often you drop your knickers!!!
